can anyone tell me what to use for bedding. i am thinking top soil but not sure. i have 30 gallon can with lid vents and drains and a rack 4 inches from the bottom i really do not know what i am doing so all info on this subject is welcome. thank you

i raise worms my self (not for gardening but for fishing which i use the fish for gardeneing) what i did is ordeard some live worm soil and 500 earth worms and a worm bed for all about 75$ just search the web on growing worms

i use finished compost in my worm bin. I laid down several inches of compost and poured my worms onto the top. I added some food and then covered them all with moist shredded newspaper. i check on em every other day or so to see if its too dry or wet and if they need food. I pull out any moldy material if it grows.

Hey Cabela Hunting and Fishing catalog or online store hase realy goo selections. I think you can get like 500 earth worms and bedding and a container for about 33 bones.

u can use peat moss, compost,hay,news paper but dont use newspaper that has colored ink on it. u can feed them stuff like any vegetable peels or the whole thing but cut it up u can also feed them fruit or the peels of fruit of any kind they also like the ph of the soil around 7 i think dont feed them milk or meat of any kind and when u feed them bury the food alittle
