me and a buddy were smoking a blunt outside and im 99.9% sure i found a weed plant. i thought i read on http://www.overgrow.com (rip) that theres a plant tha tlooks just like marijuana. does anyone konw what it is?
If it smelled like dog or horse shit, then smoke it. If it smelled like skunk, throw it away.

i believe the plant you're thinking of is called the 'japanese maple. i had a friend who had one in his yard and the leaves look kinda like MJ leaves at a glance, but on closer inspection, each leaf point is connected to each other AROUND the center, not AT the center.

Also might have been ditch hemp. You can smoke it but it's not the best. Japanese maple is a tree. An expensive one at that. I doubt one is growing wild.

looks like mj to me. and somewhat in flower too. You can get all the speculation in the world. Ur not gonna know if it smokes well at all until you grow it. So, why not try? Maybe if you do a good job...you can get some thc outta her.
