im growing outside on my patio and my plants are going well at about 9 weeks but i think its time to put them in some better soil and bigger pots.im wondering if itll be to big of a shock for them??plus they need more nutrients thats why i need to get better soil i think cause the botttom leaves are turning discolored and browning up but just the bottom ones....

transplanting is a normal and usually necessary process of growing pot. It will stun their growth for a couple of days, tops, but that's normal and ok too.
about your leaves turning color and browning, it might be a nutrient deficiency, but if your plants are in small containers then it is more likely that they are rootbound (roots have no more room to grow).
check out the lower leaves, those were rootbound.
I would suggest transplanting them first and then seeing if the problems go away, or posting some pictures.

I would recomend transplanting them into there final pots. with room to grow they will take off. watch the ferts and dont over water. not bad looking plants. later
