I was wondering if anybody knew a easy way to cap off the ends of my super sun light hoods. I am using a 10 inch tube type fan by CanFan to suck the hot air from the hoods I need to cap off the other ends any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have 4 inch flanges on my hoods, I am running 4 inch ducting to air cool the lights. Instead of blowing fresh air through the ducting, I am sucking the hot air out. The other end of the hoods will be left open with that 4 inch diameter flange. I am wondering how to cap off the other ends of the hood instead of running another piece of ducting to them.??? Do you have a better idea. any help would be great

much better my friend, thanks..Thats a similar situation as mine..On the outgoing side of mine I have a 4" inline fan bllowing out with the duct...On the other side I have a 4" fan, open to the grow, sucking out smell along with other stangnant air through the duct..If ur using a smaller bulb, im sure you can just get away with an exhaust..If you just simply wanted to cap it off, then Im sure you could get creative with a trip to ur local Depot store, duct tape and HVAC duct sealant.
Oh ps if youre not sure what im talking about you cant check my link below and I think its the 1st few pics is of the air cooled light bro

if your just looking for a cap you can get a pvc one in a 4 in. size. but i still dont get why u wanna cap off one end. a picture of the actual lights would help. with 4k w. of light u might wanna think about getting 6 in. ducting not 4.

okie boys dont cap off the other end. thats where the air comes in that the fan is exhausting. if u cap off the other end no air will move through the reflector.
also depending on the fan ur using u may want to pull the glass out a lil bit to allow more air to move through the system.

I am sucking hot air out, not blowing cool air in. the ducting from hood to hood is 4 inch i have reducers going so I can hook up to the 10 inch fan running with 10 inch ducting out. I will post detailed pics in a couple of day's. The bucket's rock, very simple...self maintained with one controller and resivior that handles them all. I will be glad to help in anyway.
