I just set up a new hydroponic system in my closet and I don't know how to use it well. Most of my plants are under 1ft. tall except for my sensi-star which is about 1.5ft. 3 of the lower leaves are turning brown around the edges on her. The ones on the top are still very green and I was wondering what was causing this? I have a fill-drain system set up and all my plants are in hydroton in baskets and I wanted to know how many times i should fill and drain a day? and how do I measure the level of the "mobile nutrients"?

are you using rockwool cubes? if you are doing flood and drain method they need to be constantly wet (the cubes). Depending on your room enviroment you may need to flood more try starting by setting your timer to have it flood once every hour. you will be able to go from there. Sounds like your plant is doing fine if your top growth is pretty and green, your bottom leaves will do that its normal. hope this helps a bit.
