I notice that medical marijuana has a much heavier stone than any ak,or chron ive smoked. I ordered seeds from H.E.L.P. seeds and the strain was Samurai Gold medicinal, the plant grew great in cool conditions outside. The buds were very bright n dense with a heavy skunk aroma, the smoke was very soft with an immediate stone, numbs your whole body. The seed bank was closed by the d.e.a., and doesnt offer any seeds right now. I know that the strain was japanese and was a purebreed Indica that fucked me up! its like a whole nother drug to me. Usually i smoke about two blunts of dank a day, one after work, and one before bed. Whene i was smokin the samurai gold harvest, i could only smoke a quarter of the blunt at a time. so why arent these strains more popular? Im not a perscribed user, im a connisuer grower. I like exotic strains for taste and stone. So in your opinion whats better?

Man I envy you for having the opportunity to experience such a unique smoke. One of my all time favorites is Thia... grows 14'+ tall like a bamboo bush, sweet, golden red in color... some lime green Buddah Thias too.. goes to your face, your legs, your eyes, NL nothing, some excellent Sativas make most anyone say Nighty Night!

I smoked some of that samurai gold medicinal reffer one time, and your right, tit was a very heavy high, I didnt know what the fuck I was doing after my first hit.
Thier probably not as popular because of the stone, its more of a "pain killer" than a saturday night buzz to me, but im no expert, I only have one successful grow so far and those are budz up in smoke already.

I see it as pot is pot. Strains will be different yes but how do you say one is medical and not the other?
Really I don't know but I think this is a new term used to make medical MJ look better in the fight to make it legal. Then I see it as the high school kids catching onto it and now all good pot has to be medical.
think about it? Breeders been trying for years and years to make the best pot. Now that medical MJ is in the pic it just a word. I am more thinking it comes down to when you harvest for what kind of high you want.
true some seed banks might be selling or making medical strains but again I think this is just a word to apeal to the medical mj crowd.

Often times the intent affects the smoke. It is hard to put into words, for there are subtle differences between cultivated herbs. I find that even the dankest dankity dank doesn't compare with the buds I grow, and that is because I am involved with every step of the process. It is also true that nothing tastes as good as your own grown. Perhaps something can be said for herbs that are cultivated for medicinal purposes. The grower would be aware of this throughout the life of the plant, and there is a direct connection between the grower and the growee.

I think there's more to it than that. I'm an incomplete paraplegic and have neuropathic pain. Some weed that I have smoked actually intensifies the pain. The heavy B.C. Skunk seems to be one of the best for pain control. Just scored about 200 seeds from the estate of a really excellent girl who recently died from Lupus they are supposed to be B.C. Skunk

haha, yep. med pot is grown with love at each step and is usually of high quality.
commerical weed is often neglected and given cheap, nasty ferts and is sold wet.

At a university in Main, the agriculture dept has been cultivating medicinal marijuana for about three years now, and their strains are from japan and australia, very exotic colorful plants with mostly indica traits. They are not strains that you or I could buy off the internet or in any store, thier use is strictly for medicinal purposes, pretty much for any one who is dieng or with chronic body pain. So its a very subtle difference but medicinal will knock you on your ass way quicker than the strongest commercial strain. The only plant that is similar to some of the ones Ive seen in main would be White Russian.
