The majority of my plants branches have only 3 leaves not 5? What's the deal???

how big is the plant? is it a seedling? it can take a few tiers for the leaves to be full size. or else it could just be aplant that has less fingers on it's leaves, a friendof mine had one that had nothing but 3 fingered leaves post a pic let us all take a peek

As long as it is an odd number of fingers the genetic mutation is nothing to be concerned about, unless you are attempting to develop your own strain...which I doubt is the case in this situation. I have a feeling your plant is young, and young MJ plants often times have 3-fingered leaves on the lower nodes. The 5-fingered leaf is a stereotypical symbol for MJ, but it is not the only type of leaf we see on these plants. During flowering you may see everything from 1-to-13-fingered leaves. I've seen even-numbered leaves on MJ plants, and that is a more serious genetic drift. If you start seeing even-numbered leaves I would not suggest cloning/breeding.
The indica/sativa stains I have seen all progress to 5 and 7 and some 9 but, could that be a pure sativa? Three comes back during flowering.
Would that be a thai or such?

the seeds Im using came out of different chronic sacks that have been smoked over the months so I really have no idea what will sprout just that they have all come from good weed...this ones weird because on parts of the plant it does have 5 fingers but most of the branches have 3 its been a slow grower too around 3 months old still no sign of bud

ONE fan leaf on one of my girls last time had 9 leaves, then grew another tiny leaf on one end of the fan. wierded me out.
