ok i just got a new light, it produces alot of light, 150 watts, and it looks like it produces good light, its halogen, flood ight, from walmart, 10 bucks
is it good for a first time grower?
how far away, still 2 inches????
Wild Bill
It'll burn your fucking plants to death.
chronic man
well its the only light there that looked good, and its not like theyll burn if i water them properly, and i cant go back...for specific reasons...just tell me how i can make this work, they didnt have T-5's or i would of been allover that, and my budget speaked for itself...
Wild Bill
Those halogens put off much more heat than light. You'll have to keep it so far away to keep from burning the plant that it won't get enough light. I don't mean to be negative but that's how it is. You'd be much better with a flour. shop light. Seriously. On a tight budget the shop lights are best.

It doesn't have anything to do with how often or how much you water.
We can't tell you how to violate the laws of physics or biology. To get a plant close enough to a halogen to do any good light-wise would burn the plant. Simple no?
Before you waste anymore $$, I suggest you read a grow book. Find out what works and what doesn't.
chronic man
well...im sorry but...i dont know when i will be able to get a better light. and its only one, and its in a really dark place, with really cool air going threw all the time, from the outside
Wild Bill
Well then. Good luck.
chronic man
do you think it could be done, or should i just stick with the regular light bulbs...till i get some other lights
chronic man
and i have three plants...its not put all on one
mmaaxx
but for ten dollars why not get a shoplight and fluorescents for around 2 bucks extra from walmart?
you don't read about poeple using halogens on here do you?
