OK, my plants are actually doing well. I have 2 more advanced in age (about 3 weeks) and 4 seedingling in veg, 2 in between. My question is how long before the plants start showing their sex?

some strains show it in veg. My bubblicious showed it when she had like 8 alternating nodes.
Some strains will wait until you put them into flower...sometimes right away, sometimes a week or so.

i have never had a plant show during veg. It does happen, however. As a rule, plants should show sex roughly a week or so after the light schedule is changed to 12-12 for flower.

I've been lucky. Mine so far have shown in veg. After they get about 10" to a foot start watching the nodes with a loop. Maybe it's been the stain. I thought it was the 18/6 or that I use exclusively 1000w hps. Oh well. I'll see this time around.

Yeh in my last grow all my plants showed their sex in veg, after about 6 weeks of 18/6 lighting. I think part of it is how much you scrutinise your plant - I would check every single node of my plant to find preflowers, and often would tell sex just by a couple of small preflowers.

well, there's the difference. There is no way I could let 'em veg that long.

I did the same. i have both a 20x and a 10x loop that I used. Believe it or not I think they'll be there in veg.

I thought everyone vegged 6-8 weeks and flowered 6-8 weeks?? Unless you mean from clone, but I normally veg 6-7 weeks when growing from seed to ensure they are mature enough
My bad...obv if from clone they are gona be female (assuming you cloned from a female). Still, I'm interested in how long you veg for, I thought 6 weeks was a minimum vegging time from seed, possibly 5 weeks at the very minimum. THough correct me if I'm wrong, I may just be confused :)

I have 13 mexican sativas growing from seed. 34 days, 1 plant alt node noticed yesterday, rest of plants shouljd get the alt this week or next, but I really want to switch them all over at the same time, so I do not have to mix grows.
10 are topped, 8 are supercropped, and 3 are just left alone.
1 of those topped and supered is jogged.
the jogged topped supercropped is the largest of them all, I have a new webcam, but cant get it load the drivers, so I will send pics asap.
i hope that 5 weeks max veg, and switch to 12/12.

From seed I veg about 5 or 6 weeks too (or until they are 15" to 18" tall). Maybe that's it.
