Hey this plant has been growing since Begging of May. It was the only female all others were males( bastards). It is now 8-31-04 and has started to show signs of buds as seen in the picture. It was watered on a good cycle it was put near a sprinkler system in the yard that is on a timer. I had given it some Oraganic Plant Food i found in a local plant shop.. It really helped the plant out, got real green, and Jumped in size had lots of phosperates and Nitroge. It sees Light in the morning, From like 7 in the moring til like 3 in afternoon. Then is dark the rest of the day. I dont know what kinda strand it is, I had some seeds i saved a while ago and planted them.. My question is What is the Purple going up the stems to the leaves? Is that normal? or is it a dieases or defect? Anyhelp would be great thanx its almost time for harvesting in anther month or two and i need to find out what to do .. Thanx again

i believe it has to do witha part of photosynthisis. whya donna youa scrolla downna and look at the other purple stem post?

Thanx for the Good Help Belwome.. Anyone else know why they turn purple in the outdoors?
Herbsparky
Mine are indoors and look the same. I worry more about purple streaks running up the main stems as that can mean P deficiencies. What you have there looks normal to me.
All4theGreen
What strain are you growing indoors? Cause i dont know what starin this is and am trying to find out?
Herbsparky
I'm growing a cross of two strains I have no info on. You won't figure it out so might as well stop now....I'm going on two years and don't know myself. What matters is the smoke.

hahahHAHAHA
yeah, it's a doozy alright.... wheres the great-dane-ger himself he might know ?!!!
in most plants its sugar that become extracted with the sudden change of temp. and lighting (sun) it stresses the plant (in a good way) ;) thus using it as a barrier against intense lighting/conditions... (of fall/begin.winter)
although not ALL plants will go purple....their pigment in the genetix is slightly different and the green/red/yellow all play the same part!!! :)
but be wary cuz some of these colors may not be a good sign... they could be a nutrient deficiency or even a fuckd plant! take this into consideration: If u feel your plant grows a reasonable amount of height/bushiness over a period of a couple days (lower lighting=slower growing)<obvious... and it appears healthy.. [the one in the above picture..] (plus it hasnt wilted ATALL ) then u can be sure you are not CoMpLeTeLy off track... lol... i'm not saying dont keep checkin cuz in.... budding is tricky, one minute your good to go, the next you forgot to water 1 NIGHT and your done.... :( haha
maybe that clears something up? i could be a little off.. and this isnt directed at JUST pot.... its what i have learned from being a horti-wannabe for the last few years....
