Yeah I had the same problem I went to check on my plants and there was a fucking fly on the babys leaf and left crap all over it.. I haven't seen any lately though.

you may want to try insecticidal soap by green earth.. mix up a big batch, enough to completely soak all the soil in the pot... It should not harm your plant... I have not had used on mj but have used it for years on my house plants. It's really not that toxic to people, pets or plants, but the bugs sure don't like it...

darn,,, I should have mentioned, your mother said use dishsoap.... dishsoap works to a certain extent but it works differently than insecticidal soap... If you have a bad case of bugs use the insecticidal soap because it is a contact poison. Dish soap is totally different it will work in some cases but it works by screwing up the digestive system of the bugs, basically it really messes up the digestive system of the bug as it chews on your plant and injests the soap and ... well... shits itself to death..
