You know what? I'm just noticing he said he hasn't used ferts yet. Afetr 4 weeks your nutes in the soil should be depleted. I use a strong soil and it needs fert after 3-4 weeks.

Thank you 4Q2 that chart is great. I got a new pH meter an it's reading in at about 6.7.That looks alright from the looks of your chart. Does anyone know if pur filtered water out of the tap is alright to ues?

well obviously not the ph. Temps are also good. Your ladies could use some ferts, but from your explanation that doesnt sound like the reason either. Definetly don't flush your medium. If you are only watering every 5-7 days it sounds lik your soil doesn't have enough drainage. What kind of soil are you using? Did you add any perlite? If you don't have proper drainage you can cause root rot, causing your plants to literally drowned themselves. If you had some pics it would be much easier to diagnose your prob. Check your drainage, feed some ferts, and try to post a pic. Oh yeah, put them back under the MH. It isn't a heat issue.

I have been using all purpose black gold potting soil and about about 30% of the mixture is perlite. I water until the it comes out of the bottom of the 1 gallon outdoor pot, so I think that I have good drainage. I did put them back underthe MH a few days ago. I water every 5-7 days, just to make sure the soil is completly dry, after about three days the soil is dry half way down and that is all I can check without disrupting the roots. I have a tough time determining by weight, so I have heard underwatering is better than overwatering. Could this problem be due to underwatering, should I water more? All of the leaves with the problem are too brown and wilted to see the problem now, I'll go and buy a camera in the next couple of days when the next leaves start the vicious process again.

huh, well the plant will tell you if it needs watering or not. IF the plant is thirsty the fan leaves will droop, straight down. I'm not sure what the problem is then. Do you use a gallon to water your plants? If so, how much of the gallon do you use on one plant? If your pots are only 1 gal. they should definetly dry out before 5-7 days with proper moisture retention. Not sure, lets get some pics.

I use a gallon to water the 3 girls. I went ahead and cut more hole in the bottoms of the pots anyways, just in case. As soon as I see signs of the reoccuring problem I'll post some pics. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

some filtering systems use a lotta' salt. Salts or chlorine could be compounding the problem. 4 weeeks and in a 1 gallon pot?.How big?..possible root bound? Black Gold is good dirt, added 30% perlite is good, too.

yeah that was one of my thoughts as well, How tall are your plants blackomens666?
blackomens666
Well I finally got a camera and posted the pictures under gardens. Its under "yellow wilting death" (you'll see). My plants are only about 9in tall and I don't think they are root bound because this problem has been occuring before I even put them in these gallon pots, and you can't see roots coming out the bottom or anything. I hope this helps you guys determine what is going on. It's crazy how hard of a time I'm having indoors, everytime I've grown outdoors I haven't run in to any problems besides deer. Once again I really appreciate the help. Hope to hear back soon.

ok, i checked out your garden. #1 i can tell there is not enough perlite in your mix. When you water, some perlite will work its way to the top of the soil, yours hardly has any. Also, your soil looks really heavy. Marijuana likes very airy soil. I would add alot more perlite to your mix. #2, you need to start feeding them a high N fert, every other watering. These are ready to be fed. Oh yeah, are you bringing in fresh air? I see the vent hose. Is it from outside your house, or another room? Your hood doesn't look cooled either is that correct? If not i would get a fan blowing directly on the bulb, and lower it closer to your plants. That 400 is really far. Ideally it should be know further than 1 foot away from the tops of your plants. Also, its normal for the first set of leaves to fall off. It just happens. As long as it doesn't spread to the rest of the plant, you are OK. Everything looks better than i thought it would. Feed em, get em some more perlite, and you should be fine.
