my plants are going on 30days veg and they are about 3in tall i have grown a couple plants b4 and there growth was not this slow, i'm uing organic soil not overwatering and have fed them twice i know that growth depends on strain as well but has anyone had there plants grow this slow? i'm using flo's and some sun. can anyone give there thought on what the problem might be there is new growth but its coming very slow the leaves that are there are very green and overall they look healthy thanks for any help u can give
wawona
as i have stated before you should try to put the plant under the flos all of the time.
onelove
yes wawona ever since u told me i have left them under the flo's but growth has stayed slow do u think its still recovering from being moved?
PootyHead
Quite honestly and I don't mean to sound like a dick but flo's suck.
onelove
thanks for your opinon pootyhead but i dont think the flo's is the reason why my plants are growing slow, i know i dont know why there growing slow so u could b right

I've tried growing with flos way in the past. About 250w worth of flos. The plant would grow to a height of 6-9 inches and then stop. The plant at this point would be only fan leaves. The flos didn't give me much branch growth. I switched to mh (now I have hps) And grew 4 ft big budding monsters.

There are various factors which affect the rate of growth. It could be overly dense soil which won't allow for root growth. It could be lack of fresh air, depriving it of CO2. Or maybe the temperature is too high: MJ quits growing when the temp goes over 100'F. At 95'F it is barely functioning. Conversely, growth stops when the temp dips below 50'F. Most productive range is 70-80'F during light. Idealy, the dark should drop 10-15 degrees. Temperate days and cool nights will do the trick...

Flos don't make much heat. How many watts of flos are you using onelove?
onelove
60 watts for two seedlings
PootyHead
Yeah dude the flos are your problem. 60 watts wouldn't be good if you had 60 in hps. I've been a grower for years(currently taking a long break thoguh). 100% sure your problem is the flos. If you have to use them say for financial purposes then you need alot more wattage. When I started it was with 240 watts of flos. 3 shop lights with to 40watts each. I could grow a beautiful green plant with them. But there would hardly be any branching and the plants would only get 9-12 inches.
