I took on jobs that where alternatives to the fore mentioned crap jobs and made it to a comfort zone by doing so. I said that I have not had much misfortune and was thankful for it. Your emotions blew right by that, obviously. I SHARED ways that I thought helped me out and that is very contrary to " selfish " as you labled me. If I came off as arrogant, then my emotions may have gotten the best of me in my response to the issues. As far as my insurance, it is for if I roll the rider over or chop a toe off or even roll my ankle, stepping in a rabbit hole etc. The off work or risky behavior injuries are a bonus that I can get any money I might be able to. It was another example and solution to protecting myself and my future anyway I can. I know that insurance companies are looking out for themselves first.....But what other means would anyone suggest to provide for illness or injury? I am open to your ideas. Sorry about the arrogance, I stand by the rest of it though.

Russia is the largest producer of crude oil, the U.S.A. is the second largest. America gets only 17 % of it's oil from the middle east. Enough to raise the hell out of prices, but the economy will not grind to a halt as people fear. The oil companies; Exxon for one is much to blame for this fear. The news said on tuesday that they made record profits of 36 BILLION dollars during the Katrina recovery quarter. The rise of the Chinease economy requiring much more oil and then the OPEC nations began to limit their sales at the same time also played heavy in this area. Do you have any idea of how much Russia and China depend on America? No I don't think you do. For the oil we need, they need as much in food and technology. Also the BILLIONs in loans and free aid we give to the world as a tax payer, I get mad when my country is called a thief of oil. The U.S. government should be way down the list of blame. Accusing the U.S. government in this manner is a shoot from the hip thought process that is very simple minded. Iraq is the owner of their oil and the independent government of Iraq is well aware of this FACT. We are not grabbing up their oil. I have heard no news stories to this effect and you better believe if it was true, Al jazeera and many other media institutions would be crying bloody murder to the rest of the world. Our own media would love a story like that to bash the present administration with that one if it was even slightly true. There is lots of money to be made in a story of that magnitude. If you want contraversy then say it was about Israel, not oil. We wanted to stabilize the region to ensure our supplies from this region are the same as anywhere else. Besides, America has been in the buisness of freeing peoples of the world from dictatorship since world war one. All of Europe and the Balkins, to South Korea or Iraq. Why is this still news to some countries. Or to it's own citizens. I am sure England loved our isolationist asses when Germany was sinking the hell out of their supply ships for 2 years. We just sat on our liberal hands and watched. It took Pearl Harbor to finally pull our head out of the sand and care about someone else besides ourselves. How many more men died because of how dug in the Germans were when we finally got there? How many more Jews? I think there are people who will just never care about others, until their country is under attack they never will. TURN THE MICROSCOPE OFF OF AMERICA AND LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE ONCE AND A WHILE.

Actually we went into Iraq because Saddam was going to stop selling his oil for US dollars and instead use the euro. That would have killed our economy. Problem is Iran and other nations are not far from doing this very thing themselves. It's only a matter of time now before the US dollar is dumped worldwide and we are left holding the empty bag.
