The U.S. needs to re-group.. get its forces home from all reaches of the globe, save a little cash. Start taking things bit by bit and really make a difference where people are suffering, or where things need to change for the better... the U.S. has over extended itself and is doomed to a crash right now..... I think once this OIL CRISIS hits there will be a MAD DASH for mid east reserves, this is why US has made the first grabs.
They know whats coming, they know they need it. I also belive the SAUDIS are in on it. Saudis=Funds/oil for war. Ameirca =Muscle

I also highly doubt China will back Irans play. To say that we are floundering is laughable. We still have a huge pool of conscripts to pull from if,and when the situation arises. Remember our military is still an all volunteer force. I do believe the draft is coming, but I don't believe unles it is absolutely unavoidable it will happen during this administration. Reason being it would be way to damaging to the republican party. You conspiracy fanatics should already have realised this.
