What kind of water should I give my plant(s)?? My friend told me that I should put distilled water on them......I need some suggestions!!
water well in all reality, pretty much all water will work. are you growing hydro or soil? tap water has more chlorine and other minerals in it, where purified water has less. i personally use RO (reverse osmosis) water, comes with a neutral PH of 7. I cant really tell you the difference between the 2 because ive only ever used RO, and would recommend it to anyone. hope i could help you out a little. anymore questions feel free to ask. peace out.
Sure it will, if it's a male. This belongs in the 'myths' thread. NFW, btw. Tap water can contain a lot of mineral deposits and such. I use filtered tap water. I have a very good Doulton ceramic filter that has a cartridge you can clean. You should see the dark brown crap that builds up on it before I clean it off. I would NOT want that going into my plants. I fill up 2 gallon containers and leave them out at least overnight to allow any chlorine that may have gotten through the filter to evaporate.
Man just fill some bottles up and let em sit over night. Keeping things simple stupid seems to be the best way to do things
Well if you cannot get R/O water in your area (i.e. ME) you can go get some clor-out at the pet store and put 5 drops of it in a gallon of water and let it sit with the cap off of it over night b4 use, I havent had any prob with it so far
if you are on town water it is treated and lightly clorinated it will not hurt plants actually it will help lightly disinfect pots and stuff. If you are on a well the water will be high in disolved solids witch is said to hinder the growth of plants but i figure plants grow fine out side with rain water so its not a big deal aslong as ph is good your fine.
