Tuesday the 23rd of September 2003 saw the Parliament of Western Australia pass the Cannabis Control Bill 2003. This legislation reduces penalties for smallscale cannabis cultivation and possession to a system of fines or "education" sessions for up to 30g of cannabis and two non-hydroponic plants. Cannabis paraphernalia will be regulated with health warnings and 18 purchases only.
While the law has passed, it will be another 6 months before Police have updated their procedures and are able to issue Cannabis Infringement Notices to offenders

"non-hydroponic plants"? why is that, because they assume you are a pro grower if you do hydro, or because hydro kicks such ass?

I think that this is a step in the right direction. However, I believe that originally the Australian government intended to totally decriminalize marijuana. This was thwarted in part by pressure from the American government. America is not only in the business of visiting wholesale slaughter on other countries, they are also in the business of coercing other countries to adopt its flawed drug policies. They did this in Switzerland and they have been working on the Netherlands as well. I believe they also influenced policy in Spain. I can not wait till election 2004. I want to get this misguided and deluded individual out of the White House.I fear it will not be easy however, as he is positioning himself to steal another election via the electoral college. Now, he has California in his pocket. That makes Texas, Florida and California sure bets for the electoral votes.

Finaly some of the states down here are starting to wake up.

Only thing is, I believe they class any type of indoor or environment supplied plant as Hydro.

Ie. Under lights, using fans or environment controll, Water or soil based.

Hence I think it relates to you can only have two in pots or ground in the backyard/greenhouse.

Ill be back on that one, but at least its more forward motion:ebert:

Well, alot of plants alowed or not its still something that will help the movement, i see a new place every other day passing or looking like they are going to pass some type of law protecting med users and small scale personal stash grows, to tell you the trueth i dont care if pot is ever totaly legal to the point where you can grow however much you want or whatever long as you can grow a good personal stash without ever being busted/haveing plants and equip taken i will be happy and its looking that way more and more every day. and whos to say you cant grow two 15fters within that limit in OZ [IMG]
