it is 102 degrees in my room right now!! will it hurt my plant if i take it out of the room ...it wont be under my hps any more..Thanx
Increase the number of fans you have, or get a stronger/bigger one. With the right fans you should be able to bring down the temp to one or two degrees above room temp/temp outside your box. You might also add a vent tube bringing in the cooler air from outside. The most expensive way would be to get an aircon, I use one in the summer, but the bills add up.
I got a 140CFM Squirrel cage blower ($69) and two pieces of 4" Dryer Hose ($15) and Was able to get enough air sucking under my closets door sill and sucks it through my reflector and blows it out through a hole I cut in the wall... I have a 400W Hortilux HPS... before the vent system I was at 114 degrees... after the venting system was done.. I was at 83 degrees... that is a 31 degree drop for under $100 including tax and gas to get the crap... *tears* its beautiful... just beautiful...
if your really desperate you might want to take the motor out of an old small refrigerator. sitck it in another small box, drill a fat hole in it, stick a funnel on the hole, connect tubing to the funnel, put a tiny fan inside of the tube to disperse the coldness. connect it to your grow room and keep a close eye on the temp is should balance out.the warmth will mix with the cold air and create amazing humidity. when you want to induce budding just cut back the hours and lower the temp, it finishes alot faster this way.
