if you super crop your plants , does it slow the stretch of the plants when they are flowering by much ? im growing hydro in a closet and my plants are growing about 2" a day and i keep running out of room even after i tie em back (with a mesh screen). So if super croping slows the over all growth , i will try that next grow .
Supercropping re-focuses the plants energies to multiple growing stems. So, in a way, it slows down vertical growth.
I have used it as a way to keep growth more level. In a small space I used it to slow some shoot's reach to the light. if I remember right I saw some better formed colas on some of the shoots I SC'd It's been a while. wait I forget but shouldn't we avoid damage during flowering? Am I correct that we should get the SC in and let it heal then flower so the plant energy goes to flowering and not repairs of stems? I'm a bit on the well done side this morning to be honest. dont do it no later then 10 days into flowering. and dont ravage ur plants and it'll be fine. just a pinch and maybe an ever so slight bend.
thanks guys . i am going to do it while im veging , do you pinch it between ever set of side branches ?
I heard that when you top it and after it grows the two shutes you supercrop right under the two shoots on the main stem. P.S: I supercropped my plants and the results came to me unexpectedly like in a week I had a noticeceble change in my plants
QUOTE Quote: from chronic man on 4:07 pm on Feb. 7, 2006 what was the change??? more stems, or bad results? Results have been good for me so far. I can tell a difference from my first grow. The grow chutes on the side of the plant reached higher almost stretching like the cola. It should definitely increase yield.
I would just like to say that I heard of a guy supercropping 2 weeks into flower and that he did it all of the time
You can SC into flower.....thing is you are defeating the purpose. The plant is taking resources it could be using to build buds and putting them towards repairing damage caused by the SC. I myself never cropped past the 12/12 stretch period...roughly 2 weeks into flower.
