Hey everyone I'm new to the forum so I appreciate any and all comments. This is a picture of my newly sprouted bagseed plant.  It is in phosphorous-enriched soil with a bottom of medium-sized river pebbles.  It is under 2x40W Philips Plant and Aquarium flouros.

What do you guys think?  It's been in soil for only 2 days and already sprouted.

I put it under 24 hr lighting today and watered it approx. 100 mL of distilled water. Any tips, suggestions, observations? Thanks.

    Be sure to monitor pH.

When you transplant that seedling (after the root mass forms) watch your soil:perlite ratio. Your mix could benefit from a tad more perlite/pumice rather than river rocks. I have grown with as much as 50:50.

Tap water is not always a bad thing to use for your MJ plants. Knowing what is in your water is essential. Your area's ground water company should have that information (or at least a way to test it for you at the tap) and make it available upon your request.

yes put your light real close to it about 1 to 2 inches away from it and don't over water it ! water once or twice a week depending on how wet the soil looks do not try to drown the little feller at that age they don't consume much water like a big plant will good luck Dan

What is perlite? I tried to look for some info on it, but I'm still a bit unsure. Thankfully this is only a practice plant. Next time I can note that.

pearlite is those little white balls in your soil, it keeps the soil from getting packed down.

u need to watch out for hermies with bag seed.

i grew bag seed my first grow and it turned out good, but i did have hermies, just keep and eye out for any balls.
