well i had one seed germinate 2 days ago...i put the in some other potting mix from another pot(dont worry i starrilized it... and then two other seeds germinated yesturday and i put them in this miracle grow that feeds them nutrients for three months...i have them under 3 40 watt light bulbs a nd one 60 wat in front of them hanging...and i put white garbge bags under them and for the background and i put two white plates on either side of the plants and i have these two lights that prduce some sort of heat not much...and my attic is pretty cold, but its warm enough i think, i have took a thermometer in there or anything...how long do you think it would take before they would sprout out of the dirt?..they havnt yet...could this be a problem???
how deep did you plant the seedlings? i plant mine between a quarter and a half inch below the top of the soil, depending on the size of the tail the seedling has. make sure the soil is moist, but not wet, and make sure the seed has warmth. if you attic is cold, you may want to consider putting the pot on top of a heating pad, and put the heating pad on low. that will provide just enough heat (from my experience) for good root development early in the seedling's life. as long as you dont **** with it too much, it should sprout above ground in the next couple days. but also, remember, that not ALL seedlings you plant in the ground survive. i have 'em die on me every now and then. hope i could help. good luck, brother. oh yeah- what kind of lights are you using?
im using just regular soft whites, im gonna get sum1 to drive me to home depot before they come up to see if i can get some fluorescents, and when im done selling my weed ill have about 65 bucks and ill probally go buy either a hps light or some sodium light bulbs...
my suggestion to you is to get your supplies and grow area set up BEFORE you start growing plants. soft white light bulbs are a no go. if you're gonna get flourescent, try CFL's. i'm trying them out this season and the results so far are great. make sure you get enough watts tho and keep those babies bout 2 inches from the top of your plants at all times during veg, and you're good to go. buy a fan, too. you'll need it. large, small, w/e. one of each would be better...

well the home depot i went to had these 40w cfl mini-fixtures, at 20 bucks a pop, and came with warm white bulbs in em, but i bought some cool white T-5's to go in them. i'm currently using the warm whites that the fixtures came with to flower my plants. by the end of the week, i'll be running 360w over 4 plants. should be an interesting turnout. depending on how many plants you're growing, and how big your grow area is, i'd say be safe and get about 150-200 watts for sure. glad i could help you out, stay safe.

actually ur in luck, i just happened to get a pic when i put in my warm whites.. actually the best pic i got of em is the worst.. well anyways they are like 13 inches long and the plastic is white. this setup consists of 4x40w cfl's, and it's for one plant. i made this setup using 4 fixtures.
