Best way to introduce flowering?

Hi

I was thinking... First I want to make clear I believe plants do best when they are in nature or feel like in nature..
Now,
In 1 week I want to flower my plants, the timer is on 18/6 now.
I can do 2 things:
- in a week just turn the timer to 12/12
- gradually increase the dark period by an hour every day

which would be the best YOU think? I 'd like to hear from somebody with experience with this

Just "cut to the chase", and switch straight to 12/12.

so my idea to switch the timer gradually is rubbish? It's possible, I thought it would prevent the plants from stretching the first week of flowering but everyone says it wont have any effect, damn

eveyone here is wrong go 11:59/12:01 and your plants will have 8 story tall colas....Don't believe me ?

12/12 it is..from begin of flowering till end

 

also, going from 18/6 straight to 12/12 tricks the plant into flowring from going from vegy then rapidly right to flowering, it cuzes the plant to have a reality check.

 

they freak out and start flowering asap
