I Have Always Prefered Organic Gardening Over Hydroponic Methods......I Have Been Using SuperSoil Brand Potting Soil.......Mixed With My Own Ammentments......Usually Sand, Perlite, Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Chicken Shit.....Etc......However Im Not Even Shure If The SuperSoil I Am Using Is Totally Organic Or Not.......Does Anyone Know Or Have There Own Orgainc Potting Soil?.......Also I Would Like To Add Some Worm Castings Or Worm Humis To The Mix But Have Never Seen It For Sale In Southern Cali.......Has Anyone Ever Added This To There Soil? Any Good Places Onlie To Purchace? Any Recomendations Would Be Helpfull As To I Have Never Used The Stuff......Thanks For The Help

What Brand Do You Usually Go With? Do You Notice Much Diffrence In Growth Or Taste? Im Am Also Concerned About How The Castings Are Gonna Mix In With The Soil......I Would Imagine They Mix In Better Then Any Other Organic Compound

if u use tap water let it sit for 24 hrs,to get rid of chlorine.,cuz it will ill a all organic grow.lookin out peace barney/
i just started using fox farms soil, it is expensive at 20 bucks a bag, but not having to mix in a bunch of additives and spending the money for those additives, i think it is worth it, plus i have never seen a plant grow as good as mine did this go around.
Jesus H Christ. 20 bucks a bag. Here where I live, at my hydro store it sells for 10 bucks a bag, black gold is the same price. If you are paying that much buy the shit online. If you go straight to the source of FOX FARM which is in Arcata california.(humboldt) You can buy fox farm for 5.95 a bag and yes thats the big bag.. Yes both bags of soil are completely organic.. But like I said having using both and still use both, I like the Black Gold.

I use pro mix and add ewc, perlite, kelp meal, and blood/bone meal. check out 4hydroponics.com....they got a nice selection of stuff and plantitearth.com, like greenthumb said.
fox farms is damn good stuff, however i make my own special mix using scotts all purpose potting soil, works just as good if you mix all the goodies in, and don't forget a shit load more pearlite, that stuff works wonders. I always use fox farms ferts, they sell a fert with bat guano and worm castings(thats about all its made of) that'd do the trick for ya. Big bloom i think its called(can't remember) just use it along with FF tiger bloom. soulda read more of your posts, sounds like you got it under control
No hydro stores around my neck of the woods I have to order all my soil from planetearth.com which is pretty good on prices but the s/h is what will get you. I use Foxfarm but from what I read alot of ppl like that black gold I may give it a shot next go around
true i worked at a hydro store here in san diego it is 20 bucks a bag retail cause soil is heavy and they have to ship it on pallets but if u know the guys that work there they will hook it up for 10 late matt

PESONALLY MA MAN......., I USE STILL TO THIS DAY, "SOIL"= JOHN INNUS TOP SOILK, OR JOHNN INNUS SEED SOIL/SEED N POTTING SOIL, OR A "GREAT" ONE TO USE IS THE CLASSIC "PLAGRON", A VERY WIDELY USED TYPE OF GREAT SOIL USED BOTH IN ORGANIC AND "HYDRO CHEMICAL NUTRIENTS".... I PREFER MYSELF="JOHNN INNUS SEED N POTTING SOIL, OR TO BE TRUTHFULL ANY OF HIS, SEED OR BOTH SEED N POTTING SOILD, AS THEY ARE "GREAT" TO GO STRAIT FROM SEEDLINGS ALL THE WAY TO THE FINISH , WITH GTREAT SOIL STILL LEFT WHEN DONE!!!(even though "never" re-use ones soil) Anyway.....
