alternating nodes...do a serch for alternating nodes in the begginers lounge.

as ur reading this theres a link on this page that says search should be in the upper right 1/4 of the screen when ur at the top. click the lik lables search. then in the feild entitled"somethingaboutwhatursearchingfor" enter "alternating nodes" then a bit further down click the bubble by the phrase "somethingaboutsearchinginboththetitleandinthebody" then click on the begginners lounge in the drop down menu under that. and click search....i know this is gonna take a whiole but hang in there buddy...its well worth the wait. up pops a screen with all the times something was said about alternating nodes...id suggest reading all of them, although ull proly find ur answer in the top 2-5 i'd say.

maybe this post should be in the faq...under how to search?

sorry guys but that alternating nodes picture barely helps at all. my plants are kindof like chronicsmokers, but the nodes are alot bigger. anyways are they alternating when like one of them goes to an angle? i know its a stupid question but i need to figure this out.

one will come out on the stem at a time...rather than 2 at a time

Chronic smoker...you seem very confused.  I was bored and I HOPE this helps out.  This isn't rocket science.  The bottom sketch is alternating nodes.  In other words, the nodes are NOT in pairs of the main stem.

thats weird. my plant is 9 1/2 in. tall, about a month and a half old, and from whatu guys are saying has alternating nodes, 2 or 3 sets of them at that. I'm not really lookin for a big ole good plant, i've got 8 more growing. is it alright if i switch to 12/12 now?

You can switch to 12-12 at ANY time.

There were several good posts in this thread on alt nodes. Sorry u cannot figure them out. I don't see any alternating nodes in that picture that was posted for you, but it's hard to tell. The nodes don't have to be alternating on the main stem. Side branches can also show alt nodes. However, I don't see that many side branches.
