7 years and 3000 posts later - Calling the Old GK'ers

Rocky, good to see you again man. Yea, Ranger passed last year, I think it was. I always liked his political rants. He was as radical a hippie as I am an anarchist punk. So we saw eye to eye on most issues political. He had a good heart, and definetely knew his outdoor grows.


Sticki, wether you liked RD or not, you should rephrase that. He is dead. He had a brain tumor, and decided to end it himself instead of waiting to succumb to it.


Now I'm going to take some steroids, do acouple lines of blow and go pee on my plants. And FUCK YOU if you think there is any better way to grow!

RD wasn't a fave of mine. Talked shit, then pretended he didn't. I obviously didn't know the circumstances. How anything like that could be confirmed is beyond me but, if so... RIP.


Back in the day I wouldn't have said "red-headed stepchild" either, I'd have said "deformed" stepchild. That's just me checkin myself.

I called :bs: on that one a long time ago. Still do. I doubt VERY seriously that RD had the nads to kill himself. He was too much the pacifist. I would need to see the body before I believed that story.

He knew lots on OD growing but sorry I remember some we actually found that he copied and pasted from another site......hope this was not a lie for one should not lie they are dying. I think it brings ya bad bad mojo....ahh well if he did, hope he is at peace and if he didn't, then only a idiot would say such a thing for attention. Actually it was Jerseydude who found some old magazines of his (I forgot which they were now) with the EXACT same stories that Ranger used to tell here....some damn near 100% verbatim. That's when I knew Ranger was full of shite.

I had to post a reply when I saw this thread while surfing around today. I dropped from the forums when the economy took a turn and I found myself without a garden to talk about. I felt it isn't right to give advice or talk about cultivation unless your practicing.


A lot has changed in the last few years. I still live in the Rocky Mountains and have medical marijuana prescription and still caregiver for other patience in Colorado. And as of this past spring I have put together another Controlled Growing Environment(CGE).


Many of us are still around but may not have as much time to dedicate to GK, I believe it is a invaluable resource and I will make an effort to be more involved from now on. I am glad to see so many of the old timers still around, and that my old bud The Apprentice is still moderating. I will add my own post featuring my new garden and try and help out with others as I did in the past. it was 2004 when I found GK.

Thinking back, I remember alot of GREAT things associated with GK and it's many memorable members.


I'm just a couple months behind ya too. I planted my first MJ seed, with the intention of harvesting it, on Christmas day 2002. Then it took me another 3 months to create my GK account. Has it really been that long?!?!?!

I've taken breaks, sure. I also, had ONE OTHER screen name other than apophis after I lost the original login information for WiZaRD. That's where a lot of the missing content from my 2003-2005 years are. If I could remember it, I'd have them compile it with WiZaRD just like they did Apophis. I joined this site ~2weeks after taking my first toke of MJ. There are some names that joined before me, none of them active. Guess that makes me .... the one.
