On one of my plants a couple of white hairs have turned red like when the bud is finishing up but my plants are only in their 3rd week of flower!!! room temp is kept at 76 degrees and watering is closley observed and maintained. Im usinf fluorescents so the lights are all real close and no worry about heat from light... If you need more info let me know.. Any help is great...thanx
look around real close, above the red hairs,,, do you see a hidden pollen sac? no, did you accidentally brush against them when you watered? no,,,hmmmm
there deffinately no pollen sacs but it is possible that i rubbed up against them but will this hurt flower production? or will it just grow more hairs in its place???
Im in my 6th week of flowering and I have had red hairs since about week 2. Starts at the tips, then slowly creeps down the pistol. When its 50% to 75% Red Hairs you need to be watching those trich's with a Loupe. Your not seeing that many are you?
I dont thinnk you have a problem personally. If your plant is Indica Dominant, your halfway home and sounds like your right on track.

I cant see any buds much less hairs from those pic's lol. They look nice and green and healthy. I think your doing just fine. Do you see any crystals yet? Might look like someone sprinkled them with confectioners sugar? If you have crystals watch them closely. When they go from clear to opaque or white they are ready. Hairs are only a small sign of when buds are "ready". Gl
I always get hairs turnin in about the third week! I always thought it was just those first pistols that showed up after determining sex. heres how I look at it.....the calyxes that were seen in the first two weeks of flowering are going to finish sooner for obvious reasons. As where the pistols and calyxes that were formed in week four.....will take three more weeks to finish. I could be wrong! But to answer your question.......seems normal!
I agree, nothing to worry about. IMO, stygma color has very little to do with ripened buds. It's merely a symptom NOT the defining factor. My stygmas are dark red long... before the triches are clouded. Hairs don't get you high, triches do, IMO.... NOTHING else matters!
Well I guess that sounds pretty logical I just dont remember this happening so early in any of my other grows. It normaly starts for me after there is deffinate bud growing. I guess it might be because my plants are mostly indica and have a shorter flower period or maybe im just a pothead with a short term memory. Come to think of it I cant even say that im for sure that none of my other grows didnt do the same thing.....lol Well thanks for the advice to save a stoner from doing something crazy Doc Cannabis Grow In Peace
