SunPulse now offers Digital bulbs. Your typical HPS bulb is going to be 2700 Kelvin if I'm not mistaken. Well, they offer you ~3,4,6.4, & 10K. They do not specify the exact Kelvin (i.e., 3108 or whatever). They keep it a secret[according to a High Times Article]. I think it's pretty cool. I'm assuming the 3k bulb they offer has more usable light than our typical 2700's. The 6.4K seems great for vegging. If I get a Digital Ballast sometime soon, I'm going to order some of those bulbs.
Do you have to have a digital ballast to use these digital bulbs? Also, does anyone know where to get 1000w bulbs with 3000-3150 Kelvin? I've read it's the best for flowering, NOT 2700K. I do however have an "Enhanced 1000W HPS", 150,000 Lumens.
Hmm.... I don't think that can be HPS if they are much higher than the 2k range. Got a link? That's the Sodium excitement range. Sodium always burns and go through electron transfers and gives off a pink orange light. That's what it looks like when an electron moves between shells in Sodium and releases energy. Just like copper always gives green light, etc.
