Is it too late too start trying to make the sex a female on my two plants? They are 4 and 2 weeks old. Thanx again for any feedback.
whoa there, my friend! slow down a minute. you really do need to click on the faqs and find out what growing's all about. we'll answer your questions later when you have reasonable questions.
Ok, you really dont have much say as to whether a plant is male or female, BUT you can find out by some simple guidelines: - Veg your plants (24 hours for flouros & 18/6 if using an HID lamp) untill you see Alternating Nodes (This represents Maturity). - Once you have a mature plant you want to begin the 12/12 cycle. Make extra sure the 12 hours of dark are completly pitch black. This reduces stress on plants and will help you to not grow a hermie (male & female plant). After a week or 2 you will notce: Male - Little green sac/ball growths OR Female - Long thin white hairs At that time you should get rid of the male plants.
Aye, slow down and do some reading. After you've done that do some more reading. As soon as you've finished that read more, and then read more. After you are tired of reading take a break, then read again. There is so much a cultivator needs to know in order to GrowKind.
