My seedlings were exposed to nutes too early (improperly washed medium) got burnt tips, and stopped growing. I've been giving them plain ph balanced water for about two weeks but they haven't been doing much except starting to fade yellow. Not a big loss if they don't make it, just curious how long I should hold on for signs of new growth.
Sounds to me like the damage might be done. Since its early in I say cut your losses and start some new plants. Even if they do 'survive' they will still be a couple weeks recovering before they really take off. Peace
Well you could try new soil......dont over water.....but as V said it seems a bit late......pics would help
I'd hope you put them in new soil right away. Then ordered new seeds. This way, if some DO live, it's just a bonus for you. If none live, you will already have some on their way while you're waiting. I've found that it's good practice to order more seeds than you need for just this type of reason. I got some for my brother in law(he payed for them of course) and when my AK-47 started going down hill I had him drop some other seeds off to me. It turns out, that 4 of the original 10 that were alive are going to make it. I can just tell =). SOOO, I'll have some of those expensive bastards after all. I'll just end up flowering them in a few weeks and breeding them for more seeds so I can start over fresh =D.
Plants are like ppl: The younger, the less abuse they can handle. That's why you really shouldn't use any medium with nutes already added, reguardless of how much you flush.
Nice analogy Mrastro. Your right, they are probably fucked. Damaged goods, even if they do pull through. I've got other seeds already going and plenty in the fridge...no high hopes for these or huge expense acquiring them so no big thing. It was my first attempt reusing coco. I flushed it again very very thoroughly and it is working fine with the new seedlings.
