Has anyone any knowledge about this I was wondering if soil drenches like Pyganic or Azomax or Azatrol would harm the beneficial microbes in the soil media.?? anybody got any ideas on this subject i figured this belongs in advanced cultivation not a pest and plant problems
I'd contact the specific manufactures technical department. They can tell you definitively. I'm guessing your battling a pest issue?!?!?! I really have nothing other to add, since most of those words aren't even in my vocabulary.:alienwink:
no pests Just was thinking about it no bugs or nothing. I've just never seen or heard any info on any label in the store or garden forums GOOD QUESTION THOUGH HUH?
:bong-2: IF USING AZAMAX,NEEM EXTRACT ,IT WONT HARM ANY GOOD BACTERIA THAT I KNOW OF.WHAT R U FIGHTING?
no bugs Not fighting anything just trying to find this info as to whether or not I need to reinoculate after used
Well if the pest control agent you are app is fungicidal then yes it will kill the mycorrhizae which are colonies of beneficial fungi. I don't think it will kill the bacteria but things like Neem Oil are fungicidal and I assume would kill at least some of the beneficial fungi colonies. I would re-inoculate.
according to GH: While every grower agrees that it is vital to control these bugs for the benefit of all, there are also precious insects and micro organisms that we must protect. AzaMax is harmless to honeybees, earthworms, and soil microflora. It was in response to the concerns of pollution and toxicity that General Hydroponics added AzaMax to their product line." I copied that from their website is that helpful to the question at hand
I would. What's the cost, a couple bucks of mycc? What's the downside? None. It just makes sense that if you've disrupted the soil with a foreign element that it's better to err on the side of assuming some level of damage rather than none. In a crop that is valued near $500 and up per plant why skimp on readding mycc at a few cents per plant?
Yeah im with Res on that.... even if you use a super expensive mycc like i did... its still pennie per plant to readd some...
add more I'm not too worried about it I always (re im not too late) reinoculate anyway I was just wondering if it made a difference. wow voice texting can throw some really funny shit out there
I thought Azamax also had pyrethium in it? If so, that's the main ingredient of both pesticidal and fungicidal bombs, but it's 10x more concentrated in fungicide bombs than in the pesticide ones. It may or may not be harmful in the lower concentrations in Azamax. But yeah I'd reinoculate just to be sure.
