    Lovin' it, Ras :not-worthy: :popcorn-2:

Isn't that ALWAYS the case :roffl: :roffl: :roffl: I think every grow room I've built so far was on top of flowering plants.

That t-stat on the A/C should work okay. Mine also uses the onboard thermostat and it just took a few cycles to get it dialed in. I'd watch the room temp with a seperate thermometer placed in a strategic location, and see what the room temp is when the unit cycles off. Then just adjust it until the desired room temp is achieved regardless of what the dial says. :thumbs-up: I keep my room at about 74 w/ lights on.

This was my first thought when I was reading your first post. :icon_scratch:

AJ-Thanks for checking in brother. I'm working around the 12/12 schedule without too much inconvenience. I have moved the schedule a couple hours forward from what it was over the past week, 1 hour at a time. They always have gotten their 12 hours of darkness. I think I have dialed the A/C thermostat into where I want it for now. The commercial grow in a residence is maybe a bad term for what I am doing. I'm a collective grower. I grow for a collective (non profit corporation) with their cooperation to distribute the medication, and they compensate me for my time and knowledge in the form of a salary payed to me by the non profit. Here in CA as of right now this is easier than setting up a large commercial operation in a rented or leased commercial building. Initially I wanted to set up in a leased commercial warehouse, but after speaking to several property management companies and property owners and getting shut down repeatedly we decided to start small and when we can find a bigger commercial location we can upgrade.

    Update:

Today I got the Co2 regulator hooked up and installed the Sentinel CHHC-4 Environmental Controller. I set it to 1300 PPM for now. Temps are holding at 82 degrees.

I can program it to control temps via a heater and my A/C unit. I think I have come up with a way to set it up to enable my Sentinel to control my A/C unit. I will wire in a relay that is triggered by a 120V DC transformer (It was originally used to trigger the lighting circuit replaced by the mechanical timer) and that will trigger the relay and turn on the 240V outlet to the A/C unit. It should work. That way the Sentinel will be able to turn on and off the A/C unit and I can just leave it on the high cool setting.

I ran the rest of the ducting to the other 2 lights (1 light left but I need more ducting) installed a second inline fan and ran it out of the room into the hallway and hooked up a big carbon scrubber. Now the room is sealed, well almost all the way sealed, i will be adding some additional weather stripping around the door tomorrow. The Co2 is working according to the Sentinel. It seems to be able to maintain the Co2 pretty well without running constantly. It should get even more efficient once I seal the door off better.

Tomorrow I'll be bringing in 1 of the 4x8 tables and getting it prepped. Filling up the reservoir, hooking up the pump and testing the flood and drain times etc. More updates to follow.

Here are a few pics of what's been done.

Looking solid Ras! Being an old worry wart can I add something? Too late, I'm going to anyway. Since this is your residence I'd spend a couple bucks on a good CO2 detector for your living area. Hate to find out the hard way you're leaking CO2.

    Best, cheers.

Thanks RR. I see what your saying about a Co2 detector. I'll check into one. I also want to get a couple of those automatic fire extinguishers eventually. :thumbs-up:

why don't yall just have clamp fixtures with green party bulbs from walmart in em? enough light for people to see by but not wrong spectrum for the plants. then you don't have to work around the light cycles.

Glad to see you with such a premium setup my friend. hope you get some excellent results from it.

looks really good dude. I'm hoping I get the chance to show you my room and possible take a peek at yours.

Might be able to learn something from one another.

your shit looks awesome bredren, im betting you have your most solid harvey yet!!!!

Thanks man, I hope it does half as well as your room seems to be doing. :thumbs-up: I'm digging the Sentinel CHHC-4 it's easy to setup and pretty much idiot proof. I'm gonna try and wire it up today so that it can control my A/C unit. I gotta get a heater without a digital thermostat and I can plug that into the Sentinel too. I love this thing. Well worth the $$

your AC is too bossy for the sentinel huh? how many amps does it pull and is it 240V only? who did all your electric for you?

I have a radiator heater, no thermostat or anything on it. just dial with 0-7. It looks like this, but I have a "Honeywell" brand oil filled one. its tits.

Yeah I have a heater like that one too. The only thing I don't like is that it has a lot of residual heat well after it's turned off. I'll probably get one like this [IMG]

The A/C unit is a 240V beast! I can wire in a relay that will allow me to plug in a 120V DC transformer to the Sentinel that will trigger the relay and turn on the 240V circuit to the A/C unit allowing the Sentinel to turn the whole 240V circuit on and off safely. Right now I can use the A/C's onboard built in thermostat and it will turn the A/C compressor on and off as needed but the fan always runs. I want the whole unit to turn on and off as needed, plus the sentinel was high $ so I want to use all of the functions I can.

Good point, RR. I burn kero in the winter and last yr. I was awfully lucky. I got up one morning and couldn't keep my balance. I thought I had a strock! Then I realized it was CO2 poisoning. Not something to play with.

I was wondering if you secured those tanks to the wall. If not, I'd suggest it.

The Sentinel is a Co2 monitor, so until I get another one I should be okay as long as the PPMs stay where I set it, barring a malfunction while I'm sleeping. But even then my exhaust fan should keep enough air moving through the house so that hopefully the Co2 wouldn't have a chance to build up to toxic levels. As for securing the tanks, no I didn't, I hadn't really thought about it. They seem pretty sturdy how they are. It seems like it would take an awful lot to knock one over. If there was enough of an earthquake that it could knock those tanks over then I think my mobil home would fall off of it's foundation. I'll probably throw something around them now though since you got me all worrie about it now. :affro:

    Those fuckers are top heavy!!!

I'd atleast mount 2 eye hooks and secure with a bungee cord. A compromised compressed air tank becomes a missle! If one fell over, it would likely go thru the wall, outside, but who knows where it would land.

    Be careful.

I gotcha! Good lookin' out brother. I'll throw a couple hooks up and put a chain around them. :thumbs-up:

I've never seen one go real-time, but I have seen video. They'll go right thru you :lmao:

    Seriously, though.

    Be safe.
