wow this thread is great from start to finish, well worth a sticky. T6 you really helped out a lot, and look at the healthy roots he's getting now!

Just checked my aerocloner for the first time in a couple of days. I got 7 out of 8 clones popped roots. Hellyeah...and I haven't cloned in about a year. Not too bad.

Hell ya nicely done, I'm pretty happy with how the rock wool and dome did. What are the advantages of an aero cloner- if any?

I was figuring on making one. I'm more of a DIY type. Seen some good threads on builds, just got to do it I guess.

I've got a DIY thread showing how I made mine around here somewhere.

The advantages are really too numerous to get into on a forum. You're gonna have a higher rate of cloning success. Once you get it made it's way easier to use than a dome and rooting plugs or rockwool etc.

You know, that may be the thread that I had read. Got a lot going right now so this may get put on the back burner for right now. Thanks again, here's my clones looking pretty decent, males on left females on right. Still undecided about the males. I know I should get rid of them but I haven't brought myself to it yet.

I got 8 of 8 cuttings of the CH-9 Super Haze rooted, in perlite cups and under better light. I'll let them stabilize for about a week, then move them to DWC buckets.

Badass! You got your 100%!! I still gotta build an aero.

Thanks for the comments bro. I still always appreciate that from other growers. I like what you're doing there with the hydroton. I think I'll start doing that myself. I don't know why I use perlite at this phase. I have holes poked in the bottoms of the cups, set in a tray of light nutes with an airstone keeping the water bubbling, moving, and oxygenated.

What's going on with yours right now?

I ended up putting them in perlite, I didn't like how the hydroton didn't hold water like perlite does. My clones are alright, got some serious red stem going on, trying to figure that out. I tried to much at once so I have to wait a little for some to finish flowering before I can do anything with the clones. An air stone in the tray, GENIUS!, I have been worried about pyth so I only water maybe twice a week. Air stone might ease some worry for me

Got a question I knows been answered but I can't find it again. I have some plants I want clones from but they started to flower already. Can I do it still or wait till they revert back to veg? (I was looking for males so I put me all outside early-found6 so far). Thanks in advance.

ok heres my experience with cloneing flowering plants. If your doing aero your chances are high and I have cloned several strains that were in flower. With methods like peat pucks or dirt my success was very limited and you would probably be better off revegging for cloneing with other methods. Heck build a aero its simple if you dont want to buy one. Its probably the best investment you can make to supply a grow constantly with clones.

Alright, that settles that. I'll just wait till they veg back and get my clones. I'm shutting down any indoor and hydro till the fall cause I can't get my temps right and its not even hot yet. So if I wait I'll have ready clones for fall and winter to go indoor again! Thanks t6 ou saved me from wasting my time, oh, and I use 1" rock wool cubes in my humididome for cloning. Only tried it once but had 100% make it.

Well I gotta tell ya it sounds like you are battleing the same heat problems I had when I did my grow room. I am in a basement room and started with 1 thousand watter. Temps were fine. Just passive air intake thrue a room door. Then I went to 2 thousand watters and the temps went thrue the roof like 115 degrees.

You need to vent your heat from the lights out of the house thrue a separate vent to really get rid of heat. I now run 3200 watts of light and vent out of the room with 1860cfm max fan. Outside vent and lotts of wind power takes care of heat problems. Otherwise you will have constant trouble.

Ya it is an issue, I'm nowhere near what you run. I have a 150 watt MH/HPS, and a bunch of 100W equivalent cfls. I do have exhaust out the room through a 4" duct with an inline fan, I just think its to small duct and to weak a fan, it's like only 80 something cfm's. I also have a 4" intake from the a/c vent but its at the end of the run with not to many cfm's. been working on it but its a process I suppose. I Need some more OT so I can upgrade the entire ventilation system. I know my pics upside down, if you click it it should be upright. This is my closet as of now- 90's during the day even with lights off image.jpg

YOu must be really small on fan size. If thats all the wattage your running go with a larger fan on your exhaust. Increasing your exhaust hose size will also help. Keep in mind though your better off going with a large exhaust fan so you can upgrade. I started with a 500cfm then went 1000cfm then 1860cfm and big is better. Watch ebay for a bigger fan on sale and go for it. You will be happy you did as the problems with heat just go away
