I'm wanting to hear the consensus on starting your crop from seeds versus using clones. In Colorado seeds are scarce and not sold in the dispensaries, so the only good source of seeds is from friends(usually unknown strain) or ordering from Canada or Netherlands. Clones are available but there can be risk of disease or insects, and they are expensive. Just want to hear what you experienced growers are doing. Peace
to GK. I have to agree the seeds are the best way to go. Take clones from the plants that have the charicteristic you are looking for and take clones from that. That is the best way to go.
Yep. Order the seeds of something you think or know you'll like and clone them. As far as a quick grow? Obviously clones that are already started will get you there quicker.
Seeds...imo..i just get more vigour and yields You can get seeds at sannies...fusion..eskos seeds etc are all there also I really enjoy nirvanas seeds and service as well Good luck
wwboy i like starting quality seeds.....then find my keeper and clone off her for the (sea of green) grow.....sea of green dont work real well unless yer using clones because of the (even)canopy clones will produce....so for me clones are a must...and after a mite prob from freinds clones as a gift to me i just wont go back to seed grows ....just make my own seeds really and keep everything (inhouse)....good luck.
I like them both. I get clones once in a while but i also start from seed too. Seeds are a long process so its nice to have clones to get you going. Either way youre always going to be on bug watch.
Really? I don't have that problem. Seems like most of the strains I've run lately have been multiple keepers in each pack. Pop 6 and I just about guarantee you'll find 1 or 2. It's been hard for me to decide which to keep and which to toss. I'm telling you guys, your genetics aren't something you want to skimp on. Don't get me wrong, you'll find some nice plants in a pack of Nirvana or even Greenhouse, but OG Raskal, Aligee, Motarebel, SoCal Seeds, they are on a different level..Hell even Mr. Nice seems to be having problems. I had hermies and Ras had hermies. It seems like I run completely different genetics than most on this forum, but I'll put a nug up against any Sannie or Nirvana on here. There's a few folks that are starting to see the light, but I know if I drop $100-200 a pack of seeds, they pay them selves off and then some the first run. Most packs I've bought lately have had more than 10 seeds in them too. To top it off almost every pheno I've came across has been bomb. for the rant guys, just stoned OP, if your just getting your feet wet, go ahead and go with the advice you've been given. I'm sure, with some searching, you'll find some good smoke. BUT....If you've done this once or twice, drop some cash and get something that you know will be fire. Try this.
