I'm not psychic, but I have this sneaky suspicion it's because you have mad a habit of blatantly ignoring the advice given to you and repeatedly do stupid things and then ask for input on the how's and why's of fixing it when you could've avoided it in the first place by just heeding the advice already given to you.

And you don't stop there. They tell you just start simple and do something a specific way... nope, you don't do it. You keep adding more and more stuff and asking over and over on what to do and how to do it.

You've got more than you need, and obviously more than your skill-set allows for. Granted, you're doing ok for a beginner with problem after problem, but you'd be doing VERY well if you'd just knock the monkey-shining off and heed these guys' advice!:passsit:

But you can do it the hard way if you want. Some people learn best that way, I suppose. But if that's how you want to do it, then you shouldn't act surprised when they get frustrated after you blatantly ignore their advice.

    Sir

its obvious that Chaz wont heed the invaliable advice give him, nor will he devote any time to learning for himself. It is unfortunate seeing he has the equipment... oh well his loss

Guess will see how my grow turns out. Saw my last grow log in DWC? Didn't do to bad, and fucked up 3x as much as I have now. I take 90% of the advice given here. I backed off all the lights, I got a better filter, the second tent I'm running I'm keeping it simple and just doing hempy, like suggested, and I get "he never takes advice"? w/e. I listen and learn a lot, and have made a lot of progress because of it. I'm not asking the same questions over and over. They pertain to different parts of the grow. And I read the FAQ all the time to learn and I always research, if I don't find it I post here.

    :passsit:

    Thanks for the advice given.

Yep, me too. Look at his videos, in one of them he has an entire power strip filled with shit. Chaz, I'm going to say it so your thick head gets it. If you are popping breakers then you have TOO MUCH SHIT ON THE CIRCUIT!!!!! People like you are why I was always nervous living in apartments.

    safety first,

does anyone have BP's pic trying to cool a circuit?

You should if it all possible have dedicated lines for you lights, and separate circuits for fans and other equipment.

You can kill yourself and your family by over loading circuits, be careful, don't go over what the circuit is designed to handle.

Also, don't just switch out the breaker as the lines in the wall might not be the correct gauge for higher amps thus creating a fire inside your wall.

If you have a 1k, please for your safety don't run anything else on the line, you can run 2 600's but nothing else. Leave yourself room on the amps for start ups and things light that cause a power surge.

sorry, what question were you trying to get answered, looked back a few pages and wasn't sure. Just watch your electric loads when adding new equipment.

Don't fuck with electricity. When you disrespect electricity, shit gets real.

There's a few people here who've almost burnt their shit down. You don't want a crash and burn and die situation on your hands, bro. I bet if you have any house-mates or apt neighbors, they'd also appreciate you not burning their shit down with overloaded circuits and/or jacked-up amateur wiring.

I know you're trying to keep it real, Chaz, but keeping it real can go very wrong. Ask Dave Chapelle.:bong-2:

I run multiple lights. I have had 600w lights on single 110 circuits burn a faulty panel from push pull wire circuits. YOu cant be too carefull. I always moniter wall panels for heat from electrical cords. I am a firm believer on running lights on 220 instead of 110 panels.

Guess what have one fire and you wont only get a visit by the fire dept but also the cops and you will end up in jail when they discover your grow.

    happens all the time.

Like I said it an earlier post. All those wires are now gone and arranged properly the room is evenly distributed over two 120 breakers, so get off my shit. I blew one breaker, one time, like 5 months ago.

My house is wired very goofy. I have two plugs in that room and they are both on seperate 120 breakers. I plan to plug only my 1K in that plug and then plug my 400W and all fans and other stuff into that plug. Thank you for advising me of dangers and trying to just save my ass. I can't even remember the original question. Oh, how to run both these tents through one exhaust. I think I got it figured out though. I'll have both my inline fans in the mix for a total of like 700 CFM, and one large PHRESH Filter.

    :passsit:

Well If I'm a noob at electric and rent a two story condo what do I do? My dad's best friend is a professional electrician, I think I might have him come over and give everything a look over. Maybe I can replace some of the 120's with 240's?

Can't rep you more or I would.

Chaz, do yourself a favor and plug into all your outlets with lamps and start hitting breakers, you may find that you have outlets in one room connected to those in your grow. You have to factor this power usage in, even if it's a TV or something. Exhaust fans do pull some power too, make sure you write everything down and do the math!

I don't think anyone is trying to give you a hard time, just trying to explain exactly how dangerous a problem you could face.

And the "120 breakers" means nothing, breakers are usually measured in amps 10, 15, 20 etc. This is what you need to be concerned about. Even the wiring inside your walls are only rated for a spec amount of amps...so simply switching the breaker may do a lot more harm than good. The breaker is designed to flip when the line gets hot, thus stopping the possiblity of a fire. If you change the breaker for a bigger one and it doesn't flip when the line gets hot, then you have a fire inside your walls and YOU WILL GO TO JAIL at a min, or worse hurt someone.

    Be safe

Got the 1K today!!! Decided to just run a 1K Watt in the 4x4 and a 400W HPS (with blue spectrum) in the 3x3 tent. I will have them all hooked to one exhaust running to a false window with a Phresh filter (6x14 550CFM), and up and out to the false window I'm about to build.

Edit - My dad's buddy who is MJ cool and smokes is a professional electrician. He is coming over to check out my shit and make sure everything is going to work fine and I won't burn my house down. Probably a dumb question, but how do you add more power to your house? I have access to the main electric panel, and their are a few slots missing. Could I just replace all the 120's with 240's? I really don't know how that shit works.

Ofo, Thank you for the very informative information, unfortunately I'm a complete noob when it comes to electrical work. If you have time do you think you could take some pics of what your talking about and I can let you know what I have running in my place? Like, I don't even know where the gauged wire is. And how to find how my amps I draw? Do I need to worry about the total house amperage or just the grow room? Would a pic of my power box help?

So I should be worried about the amperage and not the breakers? How do I find this information out? Such as how many amps my house runs? If I just run the 1K and the 400W do I need to worry about all of this?

hire an electrician. If you have open slots on your panel it's kinda easy to add new lines of service.

You have to look at your service panel and see how many amps are running to your box. Then you have to look at the amps your house is already running by adding up the breakers in your box.

This number will give you the amps still available in you box. Then adding a new line is really easy, hell watch some you tube videos. Just pay extra for the thicker gauge wires as it could save you in the long run.

You can't replace 120 with 240, 240 is 120 doubled up but not something you should try if you have new clue what you are doing. I run 600's all the time on 120, and even 1 k's. I have literally stripped entire panels to run just lights but I wouldn't suggest that.

If you take pictures of your panel we may be able to walk you through it, but you want dedicated lines with as little splices and boxes as possible along the way. Meaning buy 200 ft of wire if you have to run 50' just so you don't run short and have to put a box in. Boxes are weak points if you will, something that can go wrong.

Anyways always remember, safety first. You can replace grows, but you can't replace freedom or lives

edit since you posted while I was typing. Amps mean everything in power. everything, watts dont mean shit to you or your safety. Have you ever googled Ohms Law, or heard of PIE= electric formula?

Your box should tell you what size "service" you have running to your house. Code i think is min. of 100 amps, with most houses being around 150 amps. I have added service panels to house before because the amps running to the orig home were 100 amps and had to add stuff for a grow, but simple said I had wood working tools to use. You have to be law hire a electrican to do this and it is inspected by your local county. They don't go through your house, just look at the new panel so if you can add it to your gargage your golden and just run new dedicated lines off that.

Run the 1k by itself if you are plugging it into your wall. By itself , doesn't mean nothing else in that plug, it means nothing else on that circuit. Flip that breaker and see what else doesn't turn on in your house so that you know which plugs not to use...you would be surprised if your house has ever been remodel about how half assed and non sensical you electric is ran
