i can read as most others can also. I'm actually try to help you, not bust balls. The stink is something that you will learn about, just like we all have. You become accustom to the stink so it doesn't smell as bad to you as it does to others. That is a fact, no arguing about it, that's why I said inexper., that's not a knock, we all start somewhere
What Nippie said. Plus, you don't really have much in the way of weight going on right now. Hope you get set up the way you think you need to before you fill those two cabs, because there really isn't going to be much smell at all right now but when you've got 25 sq/ft of flowering pot it's gonna reek whatever you do. More so if you're controlling humidity since optimal humidity influences smell. Trust me, you can think you have smell under control but drug sniffing dogs can tell the difference. I thought I was good too, but those friggin German Shepherds said otherwise.
Good look man. Ya I wanted to change it up and have a veg cab and a flower cab, that should reduce smell. I Plan buying another big 700+ Inline fan and PHRESH filter to scrub the entire room. I'm going to try using that egg shaped foaming to insulate the walls. I have neighbors on both sides, fans are to the far right wall, so only one neighbor to care about, and we're cool anyway. We hung out a few times, she'd like 30 and would never dime me out, my other neighbor to the other direction I have burned with, and they smoke cigs in their house alot! I think I got a good thing going on here. It's all getting easier and easier as everything is moving along. I bought all the parts to build individual control buckets for the two that are just running str8 DWC. I want to install a scrog, that's why I need everything to be able to be checked outside the tent (PH/PPM etc...).
8" HO max fan I'm telling you all your problems would be solved thing will pull 950 cfm for a 8" that will suck your whole room out in no time!
They only have it on CAN filters website no one really carries them Yet, have to special order. It's a 10" max fan necked down to a 8" outlet with 3 speeds 750-850-950 cfm's . Thing is super super super quiet and fucking pushes air like no other
Got the new replacement bulb in the mail today for the 1K system and still nothing. The light flickers here and there every few minutes, but that is about it. The ballast is running and seems to be working fine. So, I went to the hydro store and bought a bad ass Hortilulx 1K bulb and tried it too, no luck. Probably going to return the entire 1K system and just run two 400W air cooled tubes and upgrading my fan.
2 cool tubes in a 4x4? Man just scrap all that. 1. Return your set up and get your money back 2a. Buy a lumatek dual 600 and run a 600 in each tent off 1 ballast. 2b.Buy a 1k dimmable and run your 1k hortilux at either 1k or 600.(in your 4x4)then keep the 400 for your 3x3. as simple as can be. dont over complicate things. The fan you should run depends on what your going to do! Note: if you get the 8" the Phresh 8x40 works amazing.
1. Kept all the equipment for future use. Now have 3 1K watt bulbs for spares, 4 air cool tubes, just tons of shit, etc... We're moving to a nice house here in a few months, so I'ma just keep two tents running, one for veg (3x3) and the 4x4 for the flower tent. I'm still running the 1 400 Watt MH in the 4x4 and a 400 Watt HPS in the 3x3 with just the Cheese. What ended up being wrong with the 1K watt system I bought the whole time was the connector, where you plug the bulb in. I actually fired up the 1K today just to see what it looked like and holy shit, it's bright! "2a. I need some suggestions on what to do with my second tent. I have a 5 pack of some Exodus Cheese (fem) sitting here. I don't know what would be better to do. Both my cabs are only 6.5FT so I can't veg to long. Should I just start poppin those 5 E.C. or take a few clones from all my other plants? I bought some shit to make an aero cloner. This Blue Dream Pheno is very nice, and I haven't seen any seeds available.
All right. Slow down. Get use to all the new equipment. Get it all working in tune. Learn how it all works together. Have you learned all you want to know about your current strains? Have you even made it through 1 harvest with your current strain? Your seeds will keep. Just make sure to store them correctly. :FAQ: Build your aero cloner and take some clones. Learn something new before moving on. Just my opinion. Peace.....
Ya I was just thinking with that new cab I built, I'm gonna just take the blue dream out as a Mother plant, she has over 20 parts that could be cloned. So I could cut a few a then just grow her out as usual.
i'm with the above post: clone if you like the strain, this way you gain some experience without wasting money on seeds. Clones, once rooted, are fast growing and generally pretty forgiving, so I'd go with that.
Flowering Update: Today I put everything in the 4x4 tent into flower. I switched down the lights to 12/12, installed the 1000 Watt, set it to 75%, temps holding steady at about 81F-83F, and set a SCROG above all the plants. I did the best I could with all the fuck ups along the way. I'm 90% sure I'm sure gonna run the 3x3 tent with four 3 1/2 gallon hempy buckets, SCROG it, and just germinate this five pack of Exodus Cheese I got sitting here (Just pop 4 though). Or does anyone Think I can fit five 3 1/2 gallon buckets in a 3x3 tent? I scrapped the aero cloner and clones in general. I didn't want those same plants anyways. I just germinated 4 Exodus Cheese and 1 Kandy Kush. I will be taking one of the Exodus Cheese's out and make a mother out of her. These are all fem seeds. This is my new technique for germinating seeds: I put a little bit of hydroton into the 3" netpot, put the rapid rooter plug in, fill the rest up with hydroton, and put a sandwich baggie over the top to capture some humidity. I leave room for air to get in and out, but since I've done this method I've been 100% (11 for 11). They usually take about 2-3 days to reach the surface. Is it okay to place the rapid rooter plugs directly into the perlite? Should I start off with a small party cup, then transplant? I plan on running just straight hempy this time. I'm sooooo sick of the fuck ups and maitenance, maybe when I move and have an entire basement I'll try RDWC again. I will finish out my current grow with the RDWC just because it would take so much work to scrap it and everything in the 4x4 tent is looking amazining, and I got my current RDWC dialed in. Got all the tall shoots trained around the SCROG. Week #2 of flower will be tomorrow, so I'll post an update then. Why didn't you keep the clones going and learn how to clone? Much easier to start from clone once you get it down.
Because I took shitty cuttings and never had a dedicated mother plant. I want to do cloning properly my first go round. This should work out nicely, 4x4 tent just went into flower, new beans are getting ready to sprout! I'm looking for a perpetual harvest. Edit: I might even hold back the Kandy Kush as a mother. I'm running low on beans. I pretty much have all auto's left (seeds), and a five pack of "Rambo". I got a bunch of random freebies too that I have no idea what they are.
