Disco, I'm disappointed in how your jesus og came out. What I smoked and smelled at the cup in sf is nothing like what you are describing. Had I grown mine out and got similar results I would have suspected a bait and switch.
You probably smoked the OG pheno, that only occurs like 10% of the time. From what I am hearing, this strain should not have been released until f2 or f3. There are way too many phenos that other people have got out of their packs. The JTR is responsible for most of that, because the HA OG is pretty stable from what I've gathered.
I grew out the JTR, wasn't really impressed with it. It's a looker and a crap yielder that does not really deliver.
This one only yielded 40 grams dry, but it is some fire! You can feel it coming on as the smoke goes down.
Harvest of Blue Dreams Here are the Blue Dream Phenos that came down tonight. I kinda wish I had kept the straight Sat Dom Blue Dream, but the one I kept will definitely do. I'll run my other three seeds once my next round of genetics gets worked though. I have germinated the OG Ghost Train Haze #1 and Starbud, so I'll have my plate full. Sat Dom: Hybrid:
OG Ghost Train Haze is a soaring Sativa High. I've only found one grower around my area who had some, and he crossed it with AK-47. He doesn't have the original GTH moms anymore. It's supposed to be the most potent Sativa out there with 25.6% thc. From what I have heard, this seed line was a bit more stable than Jesus OG. I should be able to find the Ghost OG Dom from the seeds. If I get an OG dom Male, I am going to cross it with my "JTR" Jesus OG pheno. Thanks for looking in guys! I haven't got all my wieghts taken yet, because some of the plants are still drying. I should know in the next few days, though. Because of the low yields of the White Rhino and JTR pheno, I think I may have only hit slightly above a half gram per watt. The next round should be much better in the yield department, because my G13 hasn't even been under 12/12 for a week, and it's 5.5 feet tall now. The MH in veg has made a huge difference.
Disco's Jungle is still under construction for the delaying of updates. I'm still going to be using 600w for a little bit, but I have a few more plants under the light this time around. This should make up for the yield, as well as the much bigger plants before going into flower. There will not be a spot of light shining on anything but canopy. You'll see what I mean. Disco's Jungle 11/6 It's a brief update for tonight, but here are the pics I promised. The only two far into flower are EeVee and the Crack Dragon. The rest of them are not too far along in flower. Another 600w has been added to the room. It is starting to get really bright in there! I need sunglasses now. All 10 of the OG Ghost Train Haze #1 is above soil now, and 4 out of the 5 Starbud is. One of the seedlings is not wanting to do it's thing. I believe I may have let the soil dry out too much last night, so we shall see if it greens up and takes off. I'd say 14 out of 15 wouldn't be a bad thing, though. I already know the 4 remaining Starbud would be female. The above Crack Dragon is going to get the boot once I have about 50 seeds from her. She's a nice girl, but she came from bagseed, and I have much better genetic lines to work with.
Disco's Jungle 11/18 Hey guys. It's been a little bit since I posted some pics, so here are the girls. EeVee and Crack Dragon have 16 days left of flower, and they are both looking better this time around. The leaves still seem to get fried on the Crack Dragon, so I am going to let her go after my other two plants of her finish flowering. She was good smoke, but I can get much better. If you look at EeVee, you can see why I'd rather use my plant count on another one of her or something else. Crack Dragon: EeVee: The garden as a whole: The G13 in the very back has already used up it's nutrients in the pot, and is growing itself into my light. I can already see where some trellis in the next round of flower is going to help there in the back. The G13 will also be put into a 5 gallon pot for the next flowering, because of it's size and nutrient needs. I think I may try and put G13's genetics into EeVee somehow so I can have a version of EeVee that is structured more for vertical growth. I've got some potent soil this time around, but I still need to get the Mg ratios dialed in. With the increased amount of Molasses, this should help a ton! :coolbounce:
That's awesome Nice shots! That Crack Dragon looks gorgeous. I don't see the fried leaves you speak of. What's the smoke like, and overall flower time? Is this a commercially viable strain or a connoisseur strain. I apologize if you covered it earlier but it's a long thread :confused2: Right on brother! I don't know what CC was talking about earlier - I'm seriously WORRIED about the competition for this December Bud Off thing we got going. And I do so want me a trophy for me avy :new_blackey:
I've been pulling out the dead ones attached to buds! By fried I meant dying/dead. I believe I will get 2 zips off this one, once it is dry. I would not consider that commercially viable for how much space it seems to want. If I were going to run the lights horizontally, EeVee would be the most commercially viable strain of the two. It was actually run in an entire warehouse during the 70s and 80s and I came across this rare beauty by luck. Not only is it more potent than the Crack Dragon, but it has way tighter spacing between colas, so you could do some damage with Sea of Green.
Nice vertical action my man! Mucho frosty and those purple buds look amazing! I think vertical is the way to go with a low head space IMO.
Indeed, it is! I can put 8 plants around a vertical 600 and have all the plants get light. If I were doing it with horizontal lights, they'd be fighting for growth room right now.
Yes I feel that I get a bigger 360* footprint by surrounding my 600w with plants. I noticed the chicken wire around the light, good idea. Even though I use a cool tube there is a small hot spot on the glass and one of my branch tips stretched a little more then expected and got a bit burned.
That was for my safety when I was working around it. The G13 grew into it, though. I'm going to put it around the other bulb once I get some time tonight. It's intimidating having those bulbs within 8 inches of yourself! I have a scar about the size of a dime from 3 seconds of contact with one of those. I didn't feel it at all until after it happened. All I heard was the sound of my skin sizzling.
