Hey anyone know any folks that would help a 53 year old MS patient Our state needs a fight like this, Can they opt for a jury if leo plays hard ball? I was thinking if it went to trial they might have a chance Folks here are tired of this injustice, I think it be hard to get 12 folks to hand down a guilt plea..and whats to loose if leo plays hardball? Any info is appreciated, any lawyer links or activist links too.. This lady is all alone except for me and her husband I gave her almost all the kind i had as with all this stress she needed it more than me. Thanks for any info Oh i been thinking..maybe i will quit for a long time..I believe in Med MJ... I could devote all my time and energy fighting anyway i can learn how to for those Med patients who need someone to fight for them.
Contact your local state NORML chapter chair. They may or may not be in a position to help, but, they can steer you to correct legal counsel and raise some awareness if a public campaign is launched. The prosecutor cannot opt out of trial by jury. They can make offers for a plea but the option of a trial is held by the defendant.
Honestly if you care that much about helping this one person, why not help that one person? It's quite possible you'll get convicted by a jury, but if you're running like 2 plants, 1 mom and 2 clones under a 600w light with good odor control there's no reason why you should get caught. So long as her needs aren't that big as far as meds go there really doesn't have to be much risk. Not to say you shouldn't be prepared for the risk if it happens... If it does, worst comes to worst you can go to the jury trial, show them the medical records, say you weren't taking payment greater than production costs for the marijuana and that you were growing strictly a 1 person grow to help out someone who really needed it. You might get convicted, but I doubt you'd get a heavy sentence and it's really doing the right thing. That, to me, is the most important thing at the end of the day. If you wanna go the activism route, that one person is probably going to fall on the wayside. Political activism is a slow, slow process. BTW if this woman is in Washington state I'd be more than happy to be a caregiver, and since I don't smoke pot anymore and don't need the money you can be sure she'd get the full prescription minus costs. Doesn't sound like she is, though.
I am so glad I live in a med state. It just seems so foreign to me when you talk about all the fucked up laws you guys have. I hope it all works out for you man.
You guys ready for this....they have not been charged yet and the irs is leving a fine of 20grand...that fuking nuts..those 2 numbnuts..how i love them could not grow a 1.4 lb if they tried...man...fucked up world...
