So I'm seeing thread after thread pop up from people swapping to tables and decided it's time to take the plunge and be done with perlite forever!! I hate rinsing the shit and need something that I can be more hands off with as life is getting busier. I can't keep up with having to water hempy buckets every 2 or 3 days anymore so it's time. Don't really know a ton about it so I'm hoping you guys can shoot me some links to explaining and setting up. Also any tips on what I should buy in terms of specific brands and what not. I already have everything I should need other than tables, res's, and pumps and whatever other miscellaneous stuff I will need.
I swear when I read the title I read "F n' tablets". Thought you were going to bitch about....oh never mind. Going to smoke another bowl. Peace.....
no that makes sense. I believe icmag has good info on ebb and flow. You could also go on one of the premade e & f setup sites and check out how their setups work. I've also seen several E & F construction threads on this site. Not sure what the thread titles are but if you search it you should find it. E & F is really easy to do. Maintenance is a cinch if it's set up correctly. Best of luck man!
Good luck, all I have to say is make sure the table is secured and stable. You don't want a full table flipping over backwards 3 weeks into flower.
Gonna snag some stuff either this weekend or next if time allows. I just cant take fuckin with perlite anymore I've seen enough of that shit for a lifetime. I've been hesitant because I have hempy down so well and I yield pretty damn good with it but I'm watering the dame things 2-3x a week and its balls. Didn't mind when I was running a little cab but now that I have a couple light setup its just too time consuming. Movin on up boyyyyssss!! LOL Plus my teacher buddy who recently relocated back to the Burgh from Cali came bearing gifts and I finally have an official cut. In the words of Bart Scott..........."CANT WAIT"! LOL
Hey I had the same prob with hempy. It's not easily scalable. I went rdwc but e n f is prob less maintenance.
I've been eyeballing the E n F tables too. The hydro shop around here has a "home made" setup complete; table, res, drains, buckets, hydroton, pvc legs, brackets, and bases for the legs. Everything but plants, water and nutes. Just under $400. Does this sound good? I can't afford it now, but things are about to turn around for me and this seems like the next logical step for me too.
fuck that, for $200 you can get a 3x3 table (good for 9-12 plants), 40gal ressy with lid, pump and fitting kit, timer........thats all u need IMO, you already got pots that will work, if not theyre super cheap too, you already got the USELESS stuff for nutes, you prob got the pump already too, maybe fittings, get a strip of 4inch rockwool cubes, cut em on the side, toss the clones in ...lets the roots sit on the bottom and surround with hydroton or whatever makes sense to hold em up
Yea, SE, that's an experience I could do without. Heard it crash while I was getting ready to go to work.
