The city of Los Angeles gave up trying to shut down all the walk in dispensaries. Huizar said the voters would vote for the dispensaries and the city couldn't afford to campaign against it. One small step...

WA state one isn't going to go through. Guaranteed. Over half of the state's population supports it but even if it's voted in the governor won't go for it. She's a HUGE law enforcement supporter and has already said she won't go against the DEA period.

502 for WA, is bad news. Hate to say it, but I hope it doesn't pass. This is because of the DUI measures. Anyone can be tested once pulled over.

You know how much 5 nanograms of weed in your blood/system is? Imagine being told you could have a half o, but then when you smoked it throughout the week, you would never be clean to drive. At a half o per week, it took me 3 months to get cleaned out enough to pass a drug test, legitimately. If WA passes this, other states will step in line. People will just end up going to jail. I can promise you that.

Also, since I'm a medical patient... it would just screw us over. We have a Dr's note to medicate, but we could never drive sober according to these rules. The key would be to avoid getting pulled over.

Lastly, until the tax money is guaranteed to go towards something good like education, healthcare, or job creation... I would never agree for MJ to be taxed and regulated.

That's what it looks like from the outside too. Tancredo was saying he's worried support will fade as the election nears. Really really hope not.

Disco...I get ya on the DUI ridiculousness. We need a better indicator for cannabis. But the tax thing? Incrementalism....to win we need not win everything at once. It's similar to cutting off ones nose to spite your face.

I kid you not! It took me three months, because I was trying to join the military at the time. Try cheating one of those!

    *Hint Hint*

The marines are the guys who developed our current drug tests, which now test for spice as well. If I couldn't pass theirs, I am not going to pass the popo's that is given to us. It'll be the same exact ones that the marines developed.

In a sense I can see what you mean. I would still never vote for it, though. Unless we refuse to let the fed run us over, we'll never have the legalization system we want. The fed won't let us change it, once they've got what they want.

Also, I prefer not having tobacco companies producing our smoke. Once legalization happens, the fed will try to privatize it, and most people will be smoking just as much chemicals as contained in their cigarettes.

I'm sick of all the half-assed laws that get passed, only to be changed furthur down the road. Why not just create a full-assed one, and do it right?
