Hey guys I'm wanting to go to a different soil or medium then i usually run (fox farms ocean forest ) not that I have had problems with fox farms just would like to try something different to see if it works better for me. I have these in mind but what else do you guys recommend ? Roots 707/ organic Promix Straight Perlite
Yea space has a little todo with why I don't mix my own. I just never really have had any ambition to mix my own. Can you use just straight promix?
Pro mix by itself was just fine I thought. Never used it myself though, I used Roots 707 or FFOF with a bit of extra perlite added.
Bigbudz... What nutrients/schedule ? Would be nice if your using useless as that's what I use . If I go with promix then I would have to add supplements to it right ? Right now the only thing I use is cal/mag and molasses for my add ons along with GH nectar for flowering (3 part useless). What else would I need to supplement ? Thanks guys!
You will be just fine with the Useless formula. I personally use Advanced Nutrients Sensi grow and Sensi Bloom two part formulas. I also keep some cal mag plus on hand. It has perlite and vermiculite in it plus the microcornizhae ( shit if I know if I spelled that right ). It is a well drained medium and flushes well if needed Good luck BBT:redbong::redbong::redbong:
I mix and don't think about using nutes until fourth or fifth week, others don't and go with a fert regimen. Pro-Mix BX Mycc works well either way. Been using their stuff for quite awhile. Very consistent, predictable and cheap. For some reason cal/mag or epsom salts are almost a must using any Pro-Mix product.
Right on guys thanks I will be using promix next run . I have the 2 Part Flora Nova and Flora Bloom that I'm still kicking around using but man it's got so much shit in it and I hear that it's easy to overdoes/burn when using it. So ill probably just stay with the 3 part GH
