Cheeseberry Haze, Mad Kush, Jackberry X KO Kush

The latest round with some new genetics from seed: Mad Kush (Bubba Kush Katsu cut X Mad Scientist). Cheeseberry Haze (BlueberryCheese X Lady Cane). As well as two JB X KO Kush clones. Been slacking with documenting this grow, so I have no pics of the garden in veg. Now they've been under 12/12 for 4 weeks, which gives them about 3 weeks of actual flowering. So far I am most impressed with the Mad Kush, its got a very beefy structure, strong stems and big indica leafs. The Cheeseberry Haze is a bit taller, looks like its gonna deliver a nice main cola. So far so good, I'll keep you guys updated.

Really nice for 4 wks flowering! How many plants do you have? Very efficient grow area. You must have decent ventilation. Do you plan on re-planting them? (Didn't know you could use those size pots for such nice plants. 2.5 gallon pots?) And how many watts is the bulb? 400? (My plants blow chunks.)

There's 10 plants total, 3 CBH, 2 JB X KO, and 5 MK. Running a 600w HPS, with plenty of ventilation to take care of the heat (550 m3h).


They're in their final shoes (a bit over 2 gallons), and won't get replanted into bigger pots. They were kept in small pots during veg, and I didn't replant them into those, until they started 12/12. That gives the roots plenty of space to spread out during the first few weeks of flowering, without getting root bound. If they would have vegged in the same pots, they would have had time to fill them out to a point where it would be necessary to repot into bigger shoes. Get what I'm saying?

 

I would definitely pop them, its a beautiful cross. Great plant structure, big buds, not super dense, but dense enough. I think this cross has what you're looking for, because the KO seems to have given it a bit of punch. Don't get me wrong, its not super potent in terms of how fast it hits you. It takes a couple of hits more, but the stone is very powerful. Very indica dominant, relaxing body high, great for sleepy time. My pheno looks like a beefed up Jackberry, smells like Jackberry (very fresh, fruity, sour), tastes like Jackberry with just a hint of the KO Kush dark/sweetness, but knocks you out more than the KO Kush. So go for it, and if you don't, give me the seeds :thumbs-up:

Week 5 Flowering. Things are looking ok, except that there's some N deficiencies again. One of the Cheeseberry Haze phenos (the one in the back left corner) had a banana hidden in the main cola. I don't know what could have caused it, but she is the most deficient of all the plant, also she was in the main stream of wind (from the fan). Other than that there are no stress factors that I know of. She was removed, making more room for the rest of the plants. So there's 2 Jackberry X KO Kush, 2 Cheeseberry Haze, and 5 Mad Kush. The Mad Kush are kicking ass, real impressive strain so far. There's one pheno that is ultra frosty, never seen anything like it this early in flowering, just outa this world. Man, you have a green thumb. Those babies are growing straight up and are healthy. No stretching and not many branches. How come they did not develop lots of branches? 10 plants total on 600W? Very efficient. And bottoms aren't even yellow. (My plants branch out and turn to shit. This hobby is very difficult.) I learned a lot from your setup photos. Thanks.

 

That frosty ass Mad Kush is something spectacular to behold. Make me excited to get back to growing. It reminds me of how frosty my Super Silver Haze was back when I had her in my stable. Everything looks excellent in your garden though. Happy and healthy girls. :good job: asssit:

 

The JB X KO is certainly not fluffy, but also not very dense....so lets call it medium dense. Its hard to tell if there's any difference to the reg JB, because I've never grown it. But the finished product does show is KO side. The taste is sweet, but with a dark taste accompanying it, this seem like the KO influence to me. Its smell is 100% JB though: Fresh sweet fruit, with just a bit of sour.

There was some stretching, I would say between 50-80%, depending on the plant. In order to avoid useless bottom branching, I trim off the lower 1/3 of the plants before flowering. There's a good example in my Chucky's Bride thread, that shows what happens when ya don't trim off the useless shit. Also, some strains just don't branch out that much, they grow main cola dominant, while others turn into bushes without you wanting it. Check out my KO Kush from the last grow, I did no training at all, and it still turned into a branched out bush. Hope that helps :new_blackey:

Thanks for the kind words Ras. Just to let ya know, Sannies Shackzilla might have what you're looking for. With a bit of selecting, you could probably find a real nice representation of the SSH in those genetics. Been smoking it for months now, and it does not get old, still kicks my ass everytime :thumbsup:

thanks bro Unfortunately, Easter was early this year! So even though we still got plenty of snow, most of the resorts are closed already. If I really wanted to, I could find a place to rip, but frankly I'm ready for spring. Got me spanking new mountain bike and got the biggest bike paradise right in my back yard (yeah...I love living in the alps).
