A chemical found in marijuana stops cancer from spreading.

One chemical found in marijuana, called cannabidiol, prevents cancer from spreading, researchers at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco reported in 2007.

Cannabidiol stops cancer by turning off a gene called Id-1, the study, published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, found. Cancer cells make more copies of this gene than non-cancerous cells, and it helps them spread through the body.

I know for a fact that if I had not treated my dog with ganja for her cancer that she would have died at least 3 years earlier than she did. Ganja gave my best friend her quality of life back and gave me 3 additional years of joy with her that I would not have had otherwise. It was actually after reading an article on how MMJ was shown to shrink tumors in studies. I immediately started to treat my girl with ganja and low and behold it worked almost like a miracle.

Hey Ras actually I cant believe she is still alive maybe premature but I hope it is working. Lots of birds in the Avian World are getting cancer just like people there is nothing out there about treating birds so I hope this works.

I hope so too buddy. I know it's hard when a loved one gets ill. Especially an animal cuz they can't tell us how they feel or if what we're doing is helping them so we have to use our best judgement. I know it helped my dog and jr215 eased his dogs suffering and added some quality of life for her during her last months too. I'm sure it all depends on how advanced the condition is as well as the individual animal etc. but I truly hope it helps her and you during this painful and tough time.

When you're doing something that has never been done or studied, there has to be someone who pioneers ahead. There's no way to know if it will help her unless you give it a try. I'm glad to hear that so far it seems to be doing something positive for her.

Keep a positive vibe and that's all you can do Brother. I wish you the best. :passsit:
