I cannot get the applet to open up to get into chat. I was under the impression it was that way for every1. I enjoyed chat while it was up. Much easier to carry on a running convo in there. I do not know why it was removed other than it got very slow when very many people were in there.

Maybe chat is something we can work into the new system if and when it's up and running. I believe chat was removed because many members were getting into arguments in chat and it overflowed into the forums. Along with speed of conversing comes the speed of flared tempers too. There were other reasons too, but it's been so damn long ago I forget now. I say if chat can be safe, secure, easy for Webby to set up, and people agree to keep chat IN chat....then let's see if we can get it back up and running.
Keep in mind that we just had the equivilant to Hurricane Katrina hit the online growing community and that's taxed our servers. Webby says the site is getting hit hard right now, and as you see things are WAY slower than they normally are.

Usergroup permissions arent setup to allow pm. Also, vB has the ability to "segrogate" users into permission masks and classes. You can do anything with vB that you could imagine. I've developed 13 seperate themes for vBulletin, compatible with the 3.5 xml style sets. I've got books of iconsets. All the mods, patches, extensions, etc. Just request whatever and I'll hook you up. Im going to start developing a better theme for gk, if you want to use it web, please do , if not, hokey. BTW, you need someone technically inclined to handle backend and feature administration. Someone with some brains for IT & Web Development. Someone who knows php at bare minimum.
