Only 1 of the3 harvested w/r were any good. Thinking about trashing the1 that is still going. Don't see any reason it would be better than the other 2 that looked like this one. 11 weeks and maybe 5% of the hairs have changed colors?

That's really strange. I've grown out Nirvana WR a few times and it was always a 9 weeker for me. Very stable.

How are the trichs looking? I know the Dabney can go forever. At 8 weeks it's done. At 10 weeks it's done. At 12 weeks it's done. You can basically take it down when ever you want, after 8 weeks. New white hairs just keep replacing the old. Maybe that WR cut is just like it.

do the trichs stay milky or do they turn amber on that dabney?

I'm gonna take the magnifying glass out there this evening to check

My dabney is being chopped today - 8 weeks under led - triches are 10-15% Amber

Under HPS my Dabney's were still showing a few clear trichs at 8 weeks, I think I took them down at 9wks and they were 90 cloudy & just starting to amber up. One more confirmed case of LED's finishing more quickly than their HID counterparts...

I took 10 clones from the re-veged white rhino I'm hoping to get a table full plus a mother plant. 8 of the sage #1 plant and 3 of #2, I'm gonna do a table of each of those 2 and next week take 8-10 of the sage#2. Hoping for 100% success rate on the clones.

I need some positive vibes flowing my way people:jj:

FF, it's gota couple of spots that are dense but most is fluff, I will probly be chopping it mid week next week, I hope it's worth the extra power and nutes that it's taken, next week is week15 for nutes. It's been flushing for 4 days now with about 20% red hairs

Does the roots get very slimy on those tables you all do?

Wow those are some big ole long donkey buds! :bravo:

Hey, at the beginning of the thread you said you planted a sage.... Is it a sage and sour? I got one going now and the cola and side buds looks like a cat tail (water plant cat tail) it's only at 5 weeks thou. They must grow longer colas than most plants, on average. Well at least longer than the last 10 strains I went thru.

no slime man, my roots 95% of the time look like those, had some brown roots at the beginning of veg but 60ml of h2o2 in 20gl of fert took care of that.

it is a big plant but i'm not happy with the density.

    and it's just sage bro.

I had 2 females the one that took 10 weeks like they said its supposed to was nothing compared the 8 week. they were smaller plants, maybe an oz or so. the 8 was some of the best bud I've ever smoked

Hey GiT you have Drain flies

    DRAIN FLIES OR MOTH FLIES

    by Lee Townsend, Extension Entomologist

University of Kentucky College of Agriculture

[IMG]Drain flies, or moth flies, are small, darkwinged, non-biting gnats. Their wings are covered with scales so they disappear in a cloud of fine dust when swatted or mashed. These nuisance gnats can be found resting on walls or ceilings, and make short hopping flights if disturbed.

Drain flies often are a temporary problem. They develop in standing water so most commonly they are seen after returning home from a vacation or period of extended travel. Usually, they disappear soon after normal household activity resumes and water starts to move again through toilets and drain traps. The few adults resulting from these small infestations can be killed easily with a swatter or flying insect spray. However, finding many flies over several weeks usually means a relatively permanent breeding site that must be found and eliminated. Ending a chronic infestation can be challenging.

    Sources of Drain Flies

As with most gnats, the larval drain flies need moisture. They can live most anywhere that water accumulates for a week or more. Common indoor sites include the fine slime layer that develops along the water surface in infrequently used toilet bowls and tanks, in sink or floor drains in basements or garages, or drain pans under refrigerators. Sometimes the gray, wriggling larvae can be seen swimming in the water. These areas need to be cleaned thoroughly with attention to removing surface films.

It can be hard to recognize breeding sites because the larvae are small and easy to overlook. Emergence of flies may be detected by the use of a simple trap. Clear plastic cups with a very light coating of vegetable oil or petroleum jelly can be inverted over drains for several days to catch emerging adults and to identify breeding sites. If these are not productive, then expand the search.

Drain flies can breed outdoors during the summer with adults entering homes through open doors or windows. Low, wet areas where air conditioning units drain, or clogged guttering are excellent places for these insects to develop. These should be addressed if adults do not appear to be emerging from within the house.

    Control

Control of drain flies should be aimed at elimination of breeding sites. The most effective control method is to clean pipes and traps thoroughly to remove accumulated slime. Pouring hot water down the drain may provide short-term control. Drain fly larvae are difficult to drown because they are able to trap air bubbles and remain submerged for a day or more. Do not pour insecticides down drains to kill drain flies. The drain fly life cycle takes from about 10 to 15 days at about 70° F. Groups of eggs are laid on gelatinous films of organic matter. The larvae can develop in water or thin surface films. Actual time varies with temperature, development is slower at lower temperatures but can continue through the year indoors.

    Thanks Mr.G.

little bastards, I didn't know the name but it makes sense. being a plumber I always see them in sewer drains. I have 2 spots that need to be sealed up proper, the ceiling in the veg room needs to be sheetrocked and I need to install a real doorjamb complete with weather stripping for the entry. I have had these drain flies in the past but this year was exceptional. never had the larvae before though.

I chopped that last white rhino last night, I think it was as ready as its gonna be. And I needed to scrub that table and tub with some soapy bleach water to clear out those larvae. I hadn't seen any more of those flies. Plus I got a couple plants that need to get in there, not to mention the clones that are about to show roots are going on there in a few weeks. Green man willing, I should have 16 plants in 2 tables in a month or so.
