I just ordered myself some Area 51 LED panels... Four of the RW75's.... Spent over an hour on the phone with Jeff... I can't believe the deal he gave me... They ship Friday.... Should have them by Monday or Tuesday....
Thanks guys I will post many pics.... So that is 300w of led replacing 600w of hid... I can't wait... I went with 4 of the RW75's vs 2 RW150's because I feel the 75's will cover the area better... Plus Jeff at Area51 and like the idea of each plant getting its own light... I also like that the A51's use multiple drivers in each light. This way if one led blows only takes down 5 others, not the entire light....
That is the LED company i plan to buy from...... Looking at their 190 panel.... I need full spectrum for both flowering and vegging MAD MAX

I posted temp and light readings comparing a 1000 watt hps with the onyx grow system Here is cut and paste from that thread - there is a TON of info in that thread - worth a read Well just took a bunch of LUX and temperature measurements off my 1KW HPS tent and some additional measurements Skunky was looking for on my LED side. Here is an update from my OP Note: the following are just hard measurements - at the plant canopy top. For the MH & HPS - that is about ten inches from the bulb. In the LED that is about 20 inches from the LED. 600Watt MH - Total Current Draw 5 amps at 100VAC Center - 94000 LUX Corners - 48000 LUX sides - 56000 LUX 1000Watt HPS - Total Current draw: 8.3 amps Center - 135000 LUX Corners - 85000 LUX sides - 125000 LUX LED - Total current draw: 2.2 amps Center - 100400 LUX Corners - 74000 LUX Sides - 75000 LUX LUX at distances from LED 12" 220000 LUX 18" 115000 LUX 24" 90000 LUX 36" 75000 LUX Now I know there are some discussions of temp on this and other threads. I shot the following temps with a digital lazer temp meter - hand held unit - nothing special. 1Kw HPS in an enclosed ducted hood Outside case: 83F Glass: 152F 600 Watt MH in an enclosed ducted hood Outside case: 83F Glass: 150F Onyx Bloom LED (note top of case is all heat sink) Heatsink: 116F LED lense: 124F Solid surface 12 inches from lense: 80F What do you think?? I knew I had seen some info around here on that. I should have remembered that was on your thread DXE. You put a lot of work on that thread, great info there. They have got to b powerfull led bulbs with a heat sink like that. I always (not needed) use a small fan to blow on my heat sinks, it really looks like the led grows are all around a winner. One day the mh and hps bulbs will b old school.
The ONYX use 10w Cree LeD chips - I believe they are the only manufacturer using them on the smaller lights - most choose 3 or 5 watt LED's It's been 90+ for weeks and I have had no heat issues at all this summer.
I wished I could say that, my battle has been what strains do good in high temps the past few months. :icon_confused:
Advanced LED has one now. They took some notes from area 51 and rapid LED. They have a diamond series XML with similar leds as the onyx and XTE series with similar whites as the a51 xgs. though their panels Don't tell bin information to know which Cree diodes are used. That and they only supplemented the panels with the white diodes instead of the whole panel like a51 and rapid LED. Been in the 90's and up into the 100s a little. Lights on the house ac is set to 76. The thermostat is in the master bedroom on the complete opposite end of the house. Room temps are 81* with 4" centrifugal running at about 2/3 output. I could turn the fan down but then humidity would get to high. Stays around 40-50. Lower the speed gets up to 70% rh. crank it up mid-high 20's to low 30's. That's for ~345W I got in the 2x4.

Do you mean You got pre flowers on your c99 in veg like I did with the c99's I had last time? If you remember mine got pre flowers on the clones in veg.
I'm talking about the way a plant shows sex before you flower them. A female plant will show a Celts with two hairs Sticking out.... A male plant will have what looks like a short rob protruding... These appear at the nodes....
Oh, pistols! I think that's the correct spelling. Yeah I know what you mean. Are you going to clone them before you put them in flower? If so let's see how that goes. I am hoping the g13 labs c 99 I got to run next won't preg lower in veg when I clone them. One of these breeders has got to have a good c99. We will find it. Congrats on getting the new led lights next week, will be like Christmas at your house. I am pulling up a chair..... :jj:
Thanks guys... Ill start a new thread to show the grow using the LEDs... I've cut my power consumption by about 2/3's... I used to run a 400w MH with a 8" fan to try and keep temps reasonable along with a 600w HPS WITH A 6" max fan for exhaust and cooling, a 6" axial fan fo intake and a fan for circulation... That's well over 1200 watts now I'm pulling 57 watts in veg and 225 watts in flower.... Woo hoo
