I thought the cookie family said they never gave out cuts?

 

According to them they never did. So most likely had to come from the seeded batch, then either started new F1s or something, or a S1 or Bx to one of those, or just a cross. Also the possibility of it being God knows what. LOL I guess as long as the end product is good. Interested to see what Mr.G finds in the lot pheno wise.

The Forum cut is the one being passed around most commonly. It's a nice GSC cut, but not the official one.


The Cookie Family has shared their genetics, though. I've seen non-cookie family with their cut, so I know it's not on total lock-down. It's just finding their cut, out of the fifty others that have seemed to spring up over the years.


They did say they have shared it/worked with breeders and that is where some of the crosses came from/ are coming from. Their biggest project is getting a stable male to sell pollen with. I would assume that since there are breeders with it, then it has been shared with more than just the breeders.

Makes sense and the forum cuts are probably from that seeded batch. So I could see that. As far as confirmed cuts. I honestly wouldn't doubt just like you said a couple being gifted to others who are confidential I could see them still making those claims to keep up the hype and prevent others from trying to press those individuals into sharing the genetics. Some of these strain stories are pretty cool and some of them Just sound like a pressing attempt Just making shit up. Lol People are forgetting Landraces and just fixating on names. Marketing at its best.

 

It's definitely some good marketing! There were Girl Scouts in CO taking advantage of the strain name and selling cookies to people outside the legal stores!

 

Just finished setting up the Ebb and Flow.


3 girl Scouts from front left back. 2 Blueberry in the very back and 3 Lemon Berry front right side of table.

 

What is your prefered method of growing and why?

 

gsc looks like the odd one out, what a difference.

 

DaBurner420, my favorite method now is ebb and flow.. Low maintenance for me, and frees up a lot of time.. I do a water change once a week.


GiTX, the GSC are from seed not clones. in a week or so I will be topping all three of them. then the side shoots will all take off.

 

Mrgreenjeans, thanks, i'm finally able to do a complete indoor grow and i'm weighing my options. Your setup looks nice and clean. :thumbsup:

 

One week later


I just topped the plants today and a week later they are growing.


The GSC wiil catch up to the lemon berry in another week.

That Sativa Dom is the one you should be keeping your eyes on, I think. It should be an 8-9 weeker that's less couch-lock. I'm a Sativa guy, though.

 

It looks like you got the same phenos that i do. The sativa dom. One i got has pretty skinny leaves but the bud structure is pretty much the same as the indica dom. And the one i can tell has both.
