    Uh apparently Ed Rosenthal has done some research on LEDs. I'm reading his relevant works over the next month or so and after I finish reading everything he's written on the subject if I'm not satisfied I'm going to try and get in contact with him and get his best current knowledge on LED manufacturing. I'll make sure to share whatever I find and add it to the FAQ.


    Don't know if that helps for the purposes of this thread but at least it'll be another voice weighing in.

    I know Ed is a big guy in the world of mj and wrote books and all. I have seen the proof in the pudding with peoples grows here with LEDs. I think some of the guys here should post in the FAQ lighting forum and get some led sticky going. If you get some good info from Ed let us know.

    I trust dxe and skunky more than ed rosenthal on current LED technology.

    Oh man I'd love to see an LED FAQ too. And I trust these guys, I just kinda figured Rosenthal had enough money to test out more brands than all of us on GK have seen together.

    Has Ed done anymore recent stuff with LEDs? I haven't looked recently but last time I did earlier this year. I don't recall anything more recent than 4-6 years ago.

    Man, besides what we see from our own experience and what we see here at GK there's not a lot a real honest info and comparisons. Hell, I was looking at a site that claimed to be a product review and comparison done by High Times. Turned out they had no more affiliation with High Times magazine than my damn cat. Just another ploy to get you to click on the site and push their product. Kinda pissed me off really.

    Guys - maybe I am a bit naive BUT between the legwork skunky did as well as the research I have done - add that to the multiple grows ( not single plant ) done both hydro and dirt that skunk, myself and others have done - what more are you looking for??


    It's not rocket science


    My grow is not a small closet grow - 18 onyx fixtures in five sections handling veg and flower

    I think you guys here have got more than enough experience/grow journals to post up some led info on the FAQ forums under led lighting stuff. There is nothing new posted in there about it. Even if it's links to your guys grows for reference would be great IMO.
