    Hi guys,

How likely is it that if I grow the same phenotype, same size plant, in the same place, that it will have the same harvest date as last year's successful summer grow?

    Thanks,

I would say pretty good, harvest times don't change year to year. I have been putting a couple plants/extra clones outside for 3 years and mine are always done around the 2nd week of Oct.

My guess is that weather conditions are the only thing that would really have an impact on your harvest if all your other variables are the same. They should have a similar harvest date, but depending on light exposure or nutrient levels, they may take slightly longer or shorter.

Apparently I didn't learn the last two times, so once again, I'm growing in Hempy outdoors. Getting the timing of the start of the final flush right, two weeks before harvest, has always been a challenge. Hopefully, last year's timing will work this year.

    Thanks guys,

Man you gotta read your plants for that determination. Whether you go by the trichs or the red hairs, it's probly not gonna be on the exact day. I usually look at the red hairs, I flush at about 20% red, and harvestat about 60-80% red. If I go by the trichs, I look for mostly cloudy with some being amber. Remember you need to flush for 7 to 10 days

Mine are usually pretty close..I'll have to check, but yeah, it's always a week or 2 before Halloween. Sort of depends on your latitude though.

It's the flushing that makes it tough for me. Figuring out when to start the flush to have the trichs look right in two weeks is a bit tricky, even though I've run this phenotype 4 times previously. Last summer, I hit it perfectly.

I will definitely be looking at the trichs a little before the harvest date, but by then, the final flush will be well underway.

I would agree with a previous poster, if its the same type your only concern should be weather or mold. Be aware of both.
