I don't know if this is something people do or not, but I thought I'd give it a try. My grinder gets gummed up pretty quickly, some strains are much worse than others. Since I hate to waste all that sticky goodness, I wanted to see if I could salvage it. I took the grinder parts and submerged them one at a time in a small glass of iso alcohol. A few seconds of swishing, and they were clean. I then poured that alcohol through a kitchen strainer into a glass baking pan. I set a fan to blow across the alcohol in the pan. In about 20 minutes, the alcohol was evaporated, leaving behind something that was a cross between hash and oil, sticky hash. I didn't get a lot, but just a tiny crumb of that stuff burns a long time.I got enough for maybe 5-6 good buzzes. It was a very nice smoke, a mix of all my strains. It was definitely worth the minimal effort, and I'm definitely going to be doing this whenever I clean my grinder.
