So I popped a new strain, Violet Flame, from a guy that goes by Nspecta over at the farm. WhiteFire43 x Purple Urkle. Used the paper towel method and all 7 cracked and showed tails. Now, they're in solo cups filled with Roots 707. So far, I've got 2 above ground. I have a good feeling about these.
I popped 7 and got 3 to sprout. It was completely my error, I think it was too cold. All 7 sprouted tails, but 4 didn't grow past tips. The other 3 are looking perfect, sitting in 5 gallon fabric pots filled with Roots 707, sharing a 8bulb 4ft t5 with the rest of my veg closet.
Topped all 3, the one next to the bucket already has a rotten meat type funk to her. I'm keeping an eye on this one. The middle plant has a seedling sprout coming up. Not sure what's going on here.
Here they are a week later. Have them labeled 1-3, going from the one furthest away in the previous pics to the closest.
Defoliated and #3 got LST. I tried to LST #1, but I snapped a branch. Tapped her back up and hopefully she'll mend.
Here a shot of the whole closet. Got the next hydro run getting ready, 2 more weeks till flip. Next are the soil plants that will probably flip along with the hydro table. LST'd the other 2 Violet Flames so they should bush out. Everybody running this strain say most phenos stretch like the WIFI, so I'm going to have to get them in soon.
They remind me of the pre 98 bubba kush. But at 8 weeks is sweet! Have you sampled yet? They look awsome!
This will be my second round. The first was nice, this is on a whole different level. Boss man, anytime you decide to come down, you're more than welcome.
I really appreciate that. You have better taken a couple of great pictures for the future calendar contest. And make sure it's not one we've seen before.
